My wife "seems" to need new tires, since she got her turbo. (go figure)
Here is the set up, 2.4 Turbo, car is never drove in the winter. I'm looking for a nice new tire that will fit the OEM Chrome rims (she likes the rims )
I'd like a softer rubber, good for corners and such, but also have some wet road grip too. She doesn't drift (normally), doesn't red light race ().
Any idea's or advice would be great.

Most people think the Goodyear GS-D3 (replaced the GS-D2s) are the best tire for the Solstice. OUTSTANDING performance on dry surface, perhaps the best tire in the wet. A bit expensive, but what's more important than staying connected to the road?

The Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 are some relatively inexpensive tires that have great reviews. I am sure you will have more people chime in with other more expensive options, these are summer only tires, just for you to keep in mind, even though you did mention no winter driving.

Do some reading and find a tire that fits your bill..
My current favorite rubber choices All are all-season choices.
Falken 912's - cheap but sticky
Conti's - more a winter selection though..
Bridgestone Potenza G009 now replaced by the G019. I had the G009's and was sad that I couldn't get another set.

I recommend using the BFGoodrich g-Force Super Sport A/S. These are ultra high performance all-season tires. I've been using them for a couple of years now and I absolutely love them. They have excellent dry grip. I've used them several times for autoxing. They also have excellent wet grip and I've used them in snow too. They also have a very good wear rating, and I'm replacing my used ones with another set. Tirerack is having a sale on them now and Discount Tire will price match.
Both nice looking tires.
Any one try these? Falken Ziex ZE912 hear they don't last long but are nice and soft for grip??? anyone know for sure?
Yep a smokin deal for cheap grippy tires. I would probably still use a winter tire for when the ice and deep snow hits but these should get you home to swap them out.
I ran the 512 which the 912 replaces and the 512 suffered when it got down to freezing.. The 912 is supposed to be better. And the 512 I got a year out of them and I drive hard as can be.. Not a peep from me they grip like a MF!

If you want sticky with decent wet traction, I believe the Dunlop Direzza Z1 (Not DZ101) fits the bill, I know the RE-11 sticks wonderfully, but I don't know about it's wet traction.
General Exclaim Ultra High Performance for around $400 a set. They are directional and are about 70% the tire of a Pilot Sport. They work great on the track, wet, and in snow.

I also recommend the Dunlop Z1 Star Specs. I use them currently. Fantastic grip and better than stock performance in the rain. I may try out the new Bridgestone RE-11's next go around to see how they are.

If you want high-perf all-season tires, take a look at the Continental ExtremeContact DWS. Got very good overall reviews in the comparos on TireRack. Plus there's a review thread at kappaperf forum: Continental ExtremeContact DWS Review

I got stuck with another set of RSA's as they came with the replacement rims I needed in a hurry. 4000km's on them, so it'll be anoth 25000kms before I can get some decent rubber. Good luck with your search.

I'm confused. Every post recommends a different tire. I have no clue how I am going to choose new tires with the dozens of choices.
I wish this was automated. Take a survey, and get a ranking of tires that fit your needs.
Example survey would be
Dry Traction
Wet Traction
Service life
Noise
Comfort
Price
Just give every category a 1-10 rating for the tire size you need, and the automated database lists all of the tires that are geared toward your needs.
For example, everybody here is emphasizing price and traction. Absolutely NO consideration for tire roar or comfort. Those are not negligible concerns to me. Maybe I am alone in that. Maybe everybody can tolerate a rigid tooth-breaking tire that screams constantly as long as grip is maximized. I rented a 350z and the tire roar was intolerable. It drove me insane to have that constant roaring noise intruding on my drive. It was so bad, and the ride was so stiff, I took the rental back early. I'm sure it stuck like glue, but I'll never know since I don't drive at 9/10ths on the street.
The GS2s on my GXP have all the dry traction I could possibly need on a street tire, made vastly more effective with the stability control. I want better wet traction, while MINIMIZING tire roar and maximizing comfort, price is not as important as the above 3.
Just my observation that people don't seem to ever even think about comfort or noise when selecting a tire, just traction, price and life.
