Goodyear F1 All seasons! These are fantastic tires. They are awesome in wet and dry and have a good tread ware rating as well.

I have the Sumitomo HTR Z II's and they are great, but I have heard that the HTR Z III's are even better. The Bridgestone Potenza RE01 is a great tire also.

This is what I have, and I do like them a lot. They do tend to get a little noisy when its hot, and a Florida car may not need the AS capability, but they are really good in the wet.

I just replaced my Goodyear F1 's with a set of Cooper Zeon Sport A/S. I'm satisfied with the dry traction, ride, looks, and sound. I'm hopefull they won't be as likely to hydroplane on standing water in tire tracks/ruts on two lane roads as the Goodyear's did. I haven't been caught in the rain yet. Oh, by the way, the Cooper's have a higher treadwear and were less costly. I only got 30,000 miles out of the Goodyear's but on curvey, mountain roads with spirited driving.

I'm also within days of buying tires for my 07 GXP. I have Eagle F-1's on two cars and like everything about them except the noise, especially on concrete roads. What do you think of the Asymmetric's? I know, even more money but the Discount Tire website gives them a star higher than All Season's and a half star more than the G3-D3. The Goodyear site says it's quieter. I'd sure like to hear some first-hand feedback.

No tire is going to avoid hydroplaning in deep water. Once the depth of water exceeds the tread depth it is all about contact pressure and contact patch aspect ratio, and the only thing that will help is a narrower tire.

In general, a higher treadwear rating equates to lower grip.

JRinKY,
I agree with what you said, but it seemed that the Goodyears were darting on small puddles and not dissapating the water. Not unsafe, but unsettling - slowing down did not seem to help much. The new Coopers have more of a conventional tread that is supposed to be more water friendly and they are rated AA on traction. I'll post how they react in the wet since I'm going to Tenn & Ms this weekend and I expect to run into showers.

I've been hearing good things about the Gooyear Eagle GT's and will be getting a set after the Nationals. Almost the same wear rating. Better in wet and quieter. Equivilant handling

Just put Riken Raptors ZR, no appreciable rain yet, but on dry roads - they are glued to the road. The wear rating is nothing to write home about, but then again that is what I wanted. If I get 20K of stickiness and twisties out of these with reasonable wet performance I will be a very happy camper. Sure didnt get em for a 40K tire life.

I have the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3. I think they are one of the Best dry and wet tire around. They would be great for FL.

We may be able to order them. Give our sales depatment a call. They can check availability with Goodyear and can give you an accurate ETA. If you decide later that this is the tire you want, we will be able to get your order moving quickly. 1.888.459.4080
