New Forged Lightweight 18-Inch Wheel

After receiving over 50 inquiries on this wheel, I thought I would post this as a heads-up for all of you looking for light weight forged wheels...

The Sektor_Forged 18" x 8" Wheel in a 5x110 application with a +45mm offset. For those of you who are tired of the same old 5-spoke and 6-spoke forged designs, this is the ultimate in super lightweight high_performance 18" x 8" track wheels, yet perfect for those serious about their street driving. Here is a pic:

Fitment specific to the following 5x110 vehicle_applications includes:

Pontiac_Solstice / Solstice_GXP
Saturn_Sky / Sky_Redline
Chevrolet_Cobalt / Cobalt SS
Chevrolet_HHR / HHR SS
Chevrolet_Malibu / Malibu Maxx
Pontiac_G5
Pontiac_G6
Saturn_Aura
Saturn_Ion_Redline
Saturn_Astra
Saab_9-3
Saab_9-5
And More!

Additional features include, fitment around most Big Brake Systems, super light-weight with PFT (Pure Forging Technology) and a staggering weight reduction in a 18x8 forged wheel weighing in @ 18 lbs. This offset is very aggressive at +45mm. Please be sure that your vehicle will allow such a fitment.

Avaliable finish : SGC (Super Gunmetallic Coat.) This wheel is ONLY available in 18x8 with a +45mm offset!

hmm with the falken 255/40 that would probably stick out an inch further then the stock wheels and tires. Curious what that would look like and if it would fit. Could either look really cool, really stupid or just not fit. Someone should try it and tell me how it works

Nice light wheel, and a cool looking finish.

The name makes me nostalgic for my video gaming days.

It's a shame it's not an ET50 wheel. If it were we could use it for stock class autocrossing. If the weight is really 18.0lbs I know there are many guys who would buy them solely for the 0.4lb weight advantage over the SSR and OZ wheels, me included.

Offset

Lets see:
OZ Ultraleggra has a 50mm offset
Sektor Forged has a 45mm offset.
Stock rims have a 55mm offset (can someone confirm this?)

If this is true, it makes going to a 255mm wide tire an even tighter fit.

Does Gravana make a tire setup recommendation for these wheels?

The wheel wells on the Solstice are huge. A 265/40R18 fits up front with no problems, and a 275 may even fit. However, this wheel is only 8" wide and the only responsible street tire size recommendation would be 245/45R18 or 255/45R18.

They remind me of my old Neuspeeds. Same weight and basic design.

If the Sektors are anything like them, it's a great design. Very nice price for those, too.

I have a set 19" TSW rims with the 45+ offset and 245 X 40 tires and although they are pushed out somewhat from stock, have no problems with clearance issues and do not look odd. I have not lowered the car though.

Only issue I have faced due to the 45+ offset is because the tires are pushed out somewhat, the front tires do kick up small rocks and it has caused chipped paint at the every back end on the RK Sport side skits I have installed.

No kidding.. I'm looking for anything stock legal that I can get a deal on. I just don't have the cash for everything I want.. and was hoping that we could get a few options available that might drive price competition.

Oh well.. they do look great though.

I like those alot, and the price is very reasonable! To bad they don't make them in a 19x10...

Especially for a strong 10 spoke. We looked at some 5-spoke designs but wanted something slightly different.

Thanks.

Kind of ironic since I was the head of marketing for Neuspeed when we started the wheel program there...
