Howdy, just wondering what the smallest rim size is that I can fit on the rear. Would a 16" wheel clear the brakes? Also, what's the widest tire I can jam on the rear without running into trouble?

Thanks;
Ben

According to our fitment guide, the smallest rim that is accepted on the Solstice is a 17". One thing to consider, The front side of the rear fender liner is very close to the tire under compression. Assuming the offset is correct on whatever wheel you do purchase, the max width that is recommended is a 265.

That's interesting. What is the model wheel you run in the 16" size? Do you have the offset?

You might be able to look back in your system for the part number I bought them from your company 2 years ago

I believe that they are 16x7 38 offset

I use them for my studded winter tires

I've got a pair of 16" rims with slicks on them for the rear only.

Nice Brentil, I bet that thing flies. I show offset ranges for 7" wide wheels and it looks pretty broad that usually means there might be some issues with the brakes and the curvature of the spokes (industry named "x-factor") on some of the smaller wheels.. but I'll look into it. In the meantime, If anyone is looking for 16" options and they have something in mind, let us know, we can check the fitment for you with our fitment guide department. If we carry the wheel, they should be able to check the x-factor on them for you.
