Darn, I have 3000 on my stock RSA's and they look like new. Wish they would wearout fast so I could justify replaceing them with some D3's. These RSA's are junk .

I got tired of waiting for those darn RSAs to wear out. I replaced them after 30,000 miles, and they still have 10,000 miles of good tread left on them. (They're sitting in my garage, in case I need to drive up north during a winter.)
My new tires are Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Position, these ARE the highest rated tires in our size, according to tirerack's customer opinions. I bought them at $183 each and I see they are now $180. But you have to add shipping, balancing, and installation.
PS: TAKE NOTE: These are the best tires in the dry. These are the best tires in the wet. If there is snow on the road, PARK YOUR CAR! They are useless in the snow.

Thanks Giz I'm thinking of getting a rim/tire pkg and will consider the Stones for the replacement set. As you can see you have 10X the miles on your Sol. Mine is just a weekend toy and rarely drive to work but I'm really getting tird of sliding sidewise every I catch an aggressive shift in a corner.
Thanks for the input!!!

Both the Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S and the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position have come in. $189 and $182/tire respectively. If you're looking to replace your RSA or GS2's with a simply awesome All-season. Check out either of these.

Oh, darn. Now I'm sorry I rushed to get the Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Position tires, which now have 5,300 miles on them. Well, not sorry, they're great tires, and I'm glad I've got them.
BUT, the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position tires are even better in hydroplaning and treadwear, the same or close enough on the dry, AND they do pretty good on snow and ice!!!!!!!!!!
I'm fine with the RE050As unless I find myself up north in the snow, then I'd have to park the car. Well, not much chance of that happening. But when these RE050As wear out, I'll be moving to these great ALL SEASON.
Thanks, Nigel, for the update!

Gizmo,
I can assure you that the RE960AS PP's come nowhere close to the RE050A PP in the dry or the wet. They are two totally different classes of tires and while both do well relative to thier own category they are very different.
We found the RE960AS PP to do very well in Ice and Snow in our latest rounds of testing here. Better than we expected. But being that it is an all-season tire it in no way performs better or in the same league as the Max Performance Summer RE050A PP when it comes to hyroplaning resistance, wet traction or dry traction.

Thanks for that information, Miles.
I was looking on your website at the customer ratings. How do you explain the higher ratings for the 960AS compared to the 050A:
