Verdict on SSR Type-C RS wheels?

Ok, I'm interested in the SSR wheels, but I want to know if they will actually fit my GXP or not. I have seen them on both the base and GXP, but one guy a few posts down had trouble putting them on his GXP. I know the GXP hubs are just ever so slightly larger then the base model. I just want to know if they will fit before I drop the cash.

This data is what I compiled from various wheel sites for our 'lil GXPs, as well as forum(s) info.

BOLT PATTERN: 5 x 110; OFFSET RANGE: 35 - 42; LUG NUTS: 12 x 1.5; HUB BORE: 65.1; TIRES: 245/45 - 18; 245/40 - 19; 245/35 - 20.

Don't know if this will help ya at all...

The SSR's will fit on most GXP's they fit on mine without and issue, other's have had difficulty. I love them. I did just have to take a piece of sandpaper and knock the rust of the hubs, took about a minute on each hub.

They fit. I have a GXP, and the rims. They're fine. They are a tight fit though, and I would recommend some oil, or some type of lube between the ring and the hub during fitment.

To my knowledge, the wheels are the same for the base & GXP models.

I had a base and purchased a GXP. The GXP was ordered incorrectly, it had polished wheels, and I wanted chromed. The dealer gave me the chromed wheels off my base and put them on the GXP. They fit perfectly.

I recently purchased a set of the SSR's for my GXP from TireRack.

As reported they are a tight fit in the hub area. A little grease helped mine slide right on no problem.

Any one that has these please check your valve stems (screw in type) mine were loose and leaked until they were tightened.

I like my SSR's... I sincerely believe that I can detect some positive difference in the handling and ride quality due to the reduced unsprung weight.

Rickey.

I love SSRs... I have 3 sets for my STi. Just wish they were wider so we could fit 275 width rubber under there.

The solo guys are running like a 285/30-18 Hoosier on those SSR's.

Anyone know the wheel weight for the stock wheel? I know the SSR is 18.4lbs.

Only because the hoosiers are a race only tire with a very floppy sidewall. No such luck with street tires.

Fixed that for ya. A similar sized street tire would crown badly due to its thicker and stiffer tread base.

BTW-

The 18x9 ET55 OZ Ultraleggera weighs 19.4lbs and will hold a 275/35R18 or 265/40R18 perfectly. I don't just mean on the rear either. That setup will fit F and R on the Kappa cars.

Yep... which is what will be arriving in a couple days from Tire Rack, wearing Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics in 275/35-18 (doesn't come in 40 profile).

Nice

In my opinion the 275/40R18 size tire is still a questionable fit for the front. My 265/40R18 came pretty close to the front of the fender well and the taller, slightly wider 275/40R18 would be cutting it very close. They may fit but AFAIK no one has test fitted it.

The 275/35R18 are a little shorter but should look simply awesome.

+1 for Ender's sweet wheel-tire combo.
