Before I start to tear into the car, I would like to see if anyone has any insight on when I am driving the car and I get normal boost (16-20 psi) then sometimes it will drop back to 8 psi then goes back to normal on its on after a while.. I was thinking maybe the nuts on the wastegate rod was walking back and forth.. but then it doesnt makes sense that it would be consistant anytime it happens. Any ideas? It switches back and forth about every other day or so.

check your bolts on the waste gate, that's what it sounds like actually.
