Wahoo, that is good news. The damn leaks can make you crazy. I tried a couple of 0-60 runs after I did the westers Tune and before I did the hoses. I was new to doing 0-60 runs and my best was about 5.5, figured it was me. I replaced all the hoses and clamps and the car is running the best it ever has so I tried one tonight on the way home. It is clear and about 60 degrees. i forgot to turn off traction control and did a 4.43 on the dashawk, it was easy I am sure I can do better but 4.43 that is fast! Whatever mods you do, the best bang for the buck maybe the t-bolt clamps and new hoses. I am also seing almost a 4MPG increase around town.
4.43? Jesus...that'll beat a lot of LS2s out there.
Nice work!

I was starting to notice a little bit of uneven acceleration when wide open. I checked and the intake rubber elbow hose clamp on the intake throat to hose joint was not tight. In fact, when I tried to tighten it, it seemed stripped. I removed the hose, cut the little rubber 'keeper' tab that attached the original clamp on off. Then put the hose back on and used a much heavier duty clamp to tighten it back up. One test run proved that the fix worked. It must have been leaking. Tnx for the 'heads-up' lil' goat.
My Dejon elbow comes in tomorrow, but I wanted to check out my t-bolt clamps. I cut out the old hose clamps and installed the t-bolts this afternoon like a previous poster suggested. It's slightly diffiult to get the elbow out. I disconnected the A/C pressure transducer and unbolted the intercooler pipe to make it a bit easier to get the elbow in and out. Can the transducer itself be taken off the A/C line w/o losing the A/C charge? It'd make it a lot easier if it could be removed.
I just drove her around to the store real quick afternoon. Can't say I've noticed much difference yet...not that I was expecting much. The peace of mind is nice, though.

The factory rubber elbow leaks at the top and the bottom, you may have been lucky and had a good seal. I didn't and I still didn't even with the new elbow until I really cranked the t-bolts down.

I'll make sure to crank all the t-bolts down hard when I install the new elbow tomorrow. thanks!

Had a snafu with DHL, but my Dejon elbow finally came in yesterday. I've had my t-bolt clamps on the OEM elbow for several days now and it's been holding great. I'll probably get the Dejon elbow and new silicone couplers installed tomorrow morning.

I checked 3 more GXP's yesterday, all had loose hoses "that looked tight" The last clamp on the intake hose was loose on all, and if you tried to tighten it I would start to tighten up and slip. If you only have $5 and a little time get a new 2.75ID clamp and replace this. The gas milage will pay you back fast.

I wanna upgrade my engine a little with this mod from Dejon for all the pipes except the CAI. I am not to sure what i should replace the IC hose connectors with or if i should leave the factory ones on. On Verocious site they have either the regular silicone coupling and they also have to hump coupling hose. What did you guys use. I would like to go with new ones for the whole system if its for a better seal. Thanks
