GXP Air Conditioning Problem?!? A/C malfunction?

Hey Y'all,

Enjoying every minute of driving my car. Today was a tad warmer than usual and so I turned my A/C on. Amazingly, it is blowing hot air! I made sure I pushed the A/C and circulate buttons (both lit up). I drove around like crazy, fast, slow... no go, the A/C is still blowing hot air.

Next, I switched to vent mode (no A/C or circulating), and the air drawn in from the outside is actually cooler (cool evening air).

I would think the high power engine (even without any boost) would not have a problem with the A/C compressor.

So it seems my A/C is malfunctioning. Anyone else have A/C problems with their GXP?

Had the same problem last year with my NA solstice. Took it to the dealer, they couldn't find a problem, they recharged the "freon" and the air worked again. Glitch?,who knows.

They may not have filled it at the factory or it was low. It happens. My last car (bought in 2004 new) had the same thing happen the first time I fired up the A/C.

Brought in to dealership today. They said the refridgerant is empty (?!?), simply filled it up and the A/C is working again. They want me to bring the car back if my A/C stopped working again to determine the source of the leak.

Issue Resolved (hopefully).
