How is the battery tray held down

I was toying with an idea and was wondering if anyone knew how the battery tray was held on. I am thinking its spot welded on but if anyone know please let me know.
Thanks

Uhhhh, not to sound dumb, but I think that you have not gotten any replies due to the fact that if you own a Solstice, then simply take a look at it.

Welded on to the frame rail according to the service manual.
