p0101

Okay so I have been able to duplicate the p0101 code mutiple times now, unlike the dealership. So i checked out the other posts with this fault and everyone was saying that thier oiled filters were causing the maf sensor to get oiled up and fouled, I have been monitoring my ltfts and they are at -20% and I have seen them as low as -25% which is rediculous. I took the maf sensor out and cleaned it with electrical parts cleaner and let it dry for over an hour, ltfts still going past -20% and still going into limp mode. I have a K and N drop in filter and I guess that it caused the oily film, I have had it in for 20k miles and it is just now giving me issues. Should I replace the maf sensor or look elsewhere. Also I was looking at the rear O2 sensor at the resistance its always at 0 and the front is at 900 until it warms up and goes to close loop and then it changes to 300 ohms, but the rear never changes from 0 and only goes into closed loop for a couple of seconds and then jumps right back to open. I appreciate any help. Also today I got a p2178 for rich at cruise or accel on bank 1. Any help is appreciated.

You may find some helpful information on this thread that I started when the P0101 kept coming up on my car:
GMPP Tune and P0101 code.

This information was very helpful to me when I had this exact problem about 2 weeks ago. First the dealership thought it was a loose clamp, then it threw the same code again a day later so they replaced the sensor. Has been working perfectly since.

Ok, thanks. I have checked the clamps on the throttle body. the rear of the throttle body hose and also on the hard pipe were starting to slide so I repositioned them and tightened them back up. Still had issues. I think I will try and replace the maf sensor and if that doesnt work, I'm going to check out the intercooler and see if that is balooning like a couple people have had happened to them. Thanks for the help guys. I really appreciate it.

Alright so we figured it out. The hose that attatches to the throttle body had apparently been installed wrong from the factory, ie it wasnt pushed all the way up properly, and once tightened over time had worn a groove on the inside of the hose and had caused a leak. So the tech which was very helpful, unlike the last guy that worked on the car ordered a new one for me, but they are on back order. so hopefully it wont be too long. Thanks for all your advice and help.

Tightening wont work to long once they give , get a few T clamps and the issue wont. If they replace them with stock it will stripe out again. One of the vendors here i thought i read that sells the set for 25$ that is a good seal and they give the sizes needed as well

This is EXACTLY the way mine looked when we discovered it. There was a very discernible wear pattern on the inside of the hose, where the lip of the intake had been sitting to high in the hose. The clamp was actually positioned on the edge of the lip. The hose was hanging down on the engine side, so when looking at it, you could not tell that the back side was slid down. I posted about it on the P0101 thread, but I have been kicking myself ever since. I should have taken a picture of the wear pattern on the inside of the hose, so folks could see what to look for.

I'm ordering the dejon chargepipes ad intakes tomorrow with the upgraded couplings and tbolt clamps no more boost leaks for me and hopefully some gains in power. Unfortunately it won't be in time to fix my car. Import face off is tomorrow in my home town and I was hoping to run some 12s to shut some people up, but there is always another time

What all have you done to be able to hope for a 12 second pass? What was your best pass before now?

I have a tune and full solo exhaust with a catless downpipe. On bald factory tires and track temps in the mid 120's I ran consistent 13.1's with a 1.9 60 ft at 108 mph. I blew the tires off through second. I have 275's in the rear now that dead hook in second and on a cold night with my trap speed I know it will go in the 12's. If I dead hook in second I see no problem cutting a 1.8 and colder temps will give me a higher trap speed.

Who's tune? Name of the track interested in looking at the track conditions when you were running.

I have the pcm4less tune. I have ran 13.1s with just a tune at No Problem raceway in Donaldsonville Louisiana. The 13.1 in 120 degree weather was at Montgomery raceway in Montgomery, Al.
