Well, it happened again. This time I drove straight to the dealership and took one of the service guys for a ride. His response was "wow, that is bad." when it happened. I have an appointment to have the car looked at on Friday. I'll let everyone know how it turns out.
Keep us posted as this happens to mine all of the time. If they do a software update, please get the specific information.

I took it upon myself to file a complaint with the NHTSA. And I think I might try to convince the dealership to replace my rear tires since they are skidding when the Transmission locks up. I doubt they will, but it's worth a shot since they are prematurely aging due to this.
If you want to file a complaint, your best bet is here:
Dropped the car off at the dealer on Friday. Got it back Friday. Still had the same exact problems on Friday.
Here is the story:
Took the car in on Friday at 10:00, at 2:00 that day I get a phone call telling me that they "think" it has something to do with my cold air intake. Besides the p2637 I am also now getting a P0171. Since I elected to put a breather on my air inlet rather than connect back into my air intake, I thought that they might be on to something.
I guess having it that way for 4 months and having the car working just fine meant nothing to them. Then they also tried to hint my shorty header from clear image might be causing it as well. I told them it had been happening before I put the header on.
I knew I was in trouble when the service guy said that the MAF needed to read the air coming out of the air inlet. It was painfully evident that he wasn't looking at the same picture of the stock intake system I was looking at since the the air inlet comes after the MAF on the intake system. But okay, fine. I took the car home, drilled a hole for the air inlet, inserted a rubber grommet and hose barb and reconnected the air inlet tube, same problem.
Unplugged the ECM and let it sit overnight, same problem. Cleaned the MAF, same problem. I am still getting P0171 and P0700 and P2637.
Why do dealers always point their fingers at after market parts. It's like there is a section in the training manual that says "If you don't know what the problem is, hope you get lucky and they have installed something after market." I almost think that they would attempt to blame this on my air freshener if they thought they could get away with it.
Yep, dealer did same thing to mine...blamed it on the exhaust and intake, even though mine was hooked up normally. I had the same issues without that stuff on it, but they were no help to me. They said it was within normal GM specifications, even after taking the tech for a ride and him telling me something was not right. Typical GM service managers that don't know much about the car.

Well, after deciding that I wouldn't give the dealership any excuse, I went ahead and put my stock exhaust manifold on. I just got back from my test drive and guess what?
My good friends P0700 P0171 and P2637 decided to make an appearance again. I plan on throwing my keys at the service guy on Monday and telling him to fix it, I don't care how he does it. I need this fixed.
To anyone that runs across this thread in the future: Tighten your throttle body bolts!
I did that and the problem has just disappeared. It's been two days now and no issue at all. Now if you will excuse me I am off to apply for my new job as a mechanic at the lousy dealership that couldn't/wouldn't figure that one out.
Guess it's easier to blame aftermarket parts when you have no clue what to do to actually troubleshoot the problem.

Please. Where exactly are these you are refering to so I can check mine.

It's where your air intake meets the engine, I guess you could say it looks kind of like a carburetor. Just poke your head in the engine bay and you'll see it, trust me. Just be careful and don't torque the hell out of them and you'll be fine.

Thanks. Anyone have the torque spec on what these are supposed to be?

I've have a '07 Saturn Sky auto trans and "all of the sudden" started experiencing the hard down shift to low. I'd been playing around, up shifting and downshifting the auto trans. Was having a lot of fun on the backroads ourside of town. I kick myself daily for not getting the manual trans in it. Any way, it turns out the computer in the car "learns" your driving habits and attempts to anticipate them. The fix was easy. I pulled the fuse for the computer (and just to make sure I disconnected the battery.) Then put everything back. Basically a reboot. Everthing's fine now. The problem I'm sure, was me downshifting to low while the car was still rolling. That's the bad habit the computer learned.
We have the same damn problem with our 07 with 11K miles on it. It's been at the dealership 5-7 times for this issue. They can't find any wrong, nor have we been able to duplicate it. The service manager told me just drop the transmission out of it, so I can put a new one in it for you.
I love the car, but the problems with it, are driving me nuts. We've owned it for 17 months, been in the shop 14 times. AAAARRRGGGG...
And no, Illinois doesn't have the lemon law act..
Keep this post updated to any fixes please.
