i just got the car back, the dealer said nothing they can do, its the TransYoke.. and thats the noise it makes..

has anyone EVER heard of a trans Yoke??? ive never even heard that word other than in eggs...

Transmission Yoke... it's the part sticking out of the back of the transmission that spins & holds the universal joint. Hmmm... universal joint... that sounds familiar, too... *sixties & seventies flashback*

Thanks to Linda (gbslysol) at SoS, My Sol has a name!! She told me that with the stripes, every time she looked in the rear-view during the run, it looked like a giant ladybug was following them, so Ladybug is the name I've been searching for to call my Sol!

The only clank I had (and it's gone now after three visits) is the washer used to hold the seatbelt connector to the frame. It "clanked" after I hit a bump - sounded like it was coming from the rear drivers side....I have no "clanks" of any kind any more....so it seems if this is "normal" yours is more "normal" than mine...

I get a noise maybe similar to yours...

you are going (lets say reverse) fairly quickly, and then you step on the brake and clutch at the same time.

It sounds like a quick DEEP thump and almost like a little rattle.
Happens when you push clutch in quickly at a certain low speed.

And yea, it does sound like the tranny is going to fall out.

Ive heard it on one of the two that i have. #1715 is mint, no noises what so ever, but the 100743 (I think it is) has a hell of a lot of noises. its ridiculous.

its in reverse, 1,2,3,4,and 5th..its when i touch the clutcvh, or go over a bump...

its really embarrassing, if i drive by somebody they can hear it, people riding with me ask if its ok...

i just hate saying.."yeah its normal on these cars"

i asked them if this wil be a problem in the future he said no, i just hope it doesnt break a mile after the warranty runs out LOL...it just really bothers me that im having more problems with my brand new car than ive evr had with new or used car in the past...

my rattle sounds like the rear brakes are loose. i ahve a metallic rattle when i cross cras\cks in the pavement, UNLESS i am riding the brakes. i am not a car guy, but it sounds like the brakes are loose. its going in on friday but i'm pretty sure they'll blame it on the Eibach springs. hopefully not.

Do you have an aftermarket exhaust? If it sitting to close to the sway bars, it will hit and clunk on bumps. You can verify buy getting under neath and pulling down to see if it hits. Mine did, I adjusted the hanger to hold it up higher
