If there is another dealer closer than fox, I would use them for simple stuff. I also have a print out I post on the steering wheel that states how to lift the car. I do not need to do this with Fox as Critterman has educated them on how to lift a sol and they will never screw it up.

If you need a major such as a new dif. or even your seal, I would take it to fox. There are just too many things they can screw up if they do not follow the procedures correctly.

Further away, there is a dealer in Manasas Virginia that has sol repair experience.

Denise discovered the hood looks like it is not fitting right on the quarter panels, so I checked gaps of the hood on both sides of the car, the right side where the major damage undercarrige damage.

The passenger side quarter is is kinda pushed up and to the rear, the first time I opened the door the pair got chipped because it hits the top left of the quarter. The hood gap is fairly large to the door and the lower edge of the quarter to the rear portion of the body paney is tight. Basically everything is the opposite on the left side. The Hood game is tight, the quarter to door foot frame area is large and the quarter is pushed in. The dealer called back tonight and said that they haddened made a decision on what to do yet. I'm going back there after lunch tomorrow to point out what the squirrel did to the rest of the car

I still don't get it, lots of people are still having the same problem that i had with my dealer when it comes to lifting the car and they tried to blame it on the owners.

It's obvious that the damages were caused by the lifts they use and poor knowledge or common sense on how to proper lift a damn car

I'm sorry, but every time I read something about this type of topic i get and i just want to go to my dealer and do and after talking to GM they said they cannot do anything about it.

Here are some of my pics damn " GREENBROOK PONTIAC OF NJ."

That's why I decided to go 40 minutes out of my way to find a better dealer MILLER PONTIAC OF WOODBRIDGE. they do know how to take care of your car.

Dealer finally took ownership on the damage and will take my car on the 9th to do repairs. Unbeknowinst to the dealer, monday I'm having a 100 point measuring system put on my car to check for frame damage since the right side is alot worse than the left and appear to have "fell off" the lift. That is why my allignment of the hood and doors, quarters are all off. This is according to my favorite body shop.

Never heard about this before, so thought I would check it out. OMG, three corners of BellaV have those dents! Worst one on lt. front quarter, small dents on rt. and lt. rear. Dang! At least I cannot see them from normal viewing angle. I always mentioned the jacking points to the SM. Since the rt frnt qtr panel isn't bent, it must have been done during the dealer prep when I bought it(that panel was replaced after my little to-do) as that was the only time it could have been up on the rack before my accident.

Dang! D-Dubble-Dang!

Dropping Renée off this morning for the Dealer to fix their screw up. She had better be treated right, I have a 3 page letter ready to mail to Pontiac Customer Service.

Sorry about your problems with your dealership. Gives dealerships a bad name when there are some really good ones out there.

Your "squirrel" must have been on steriods
Have they arrested its doctor?

I hope you find a better dealership. It needs to be reported to GM and the BBB.

I would humbly suggest that you send the letter first to the general manager of the dealership....and CC: GM and the local BBB......in all honesty....GM customer service will forward you back to the dealership for immediate action...

Well it is obvious that the squirrel was wearing a Miners Cap, and had braces (makes it hard to eat acorns)... and OSHA does not allow miner squirrels to work alone (due to safety issues) while digging up things... so it is also obvious that the damage on the other side is from his partner. Your wife must of missed seeing him.
From what I have seen, it appears that these squirrel duos are found in a lot of places, commonly centered around a pontiac service department.
Be thankful that we have not seen a class action lawsuit from the law office of Rodent, Winston, and Nutpicker. Just think of all the squirrel families that we as sol owners have impacted.

Sorry to hear about the damage to your car.
Has anyone that has experienced this gone to their insurance company? Perhaps they would love to get their lawyers involved to make sure that their customer is not going to get stuck with a bill when someone else is at fault?

And as I noted in the poll, FWIW, Skys might be more prone to this type of issue so don't include yourself here or it will skew data. Also be certain that your damage was caused while the car was at the dealership at not from hopping a curb, hitting a parking bumper, running over a squirrel the size of a horse.

Whether a dealer uses the rubber bumpers or not makes less of a difference than if they do not use a swing arm for lifting that does not have enough clearance to keep from contacting body panels. The rubbers will help, but are not the cure-all for using the same setup last used on a larger car and kicking the lift supports into the panels. That's one way this poarticular damage can occur. Another is that without enough vertical offset when lifting the car the normal flex in the lifts arms may allow contact with the body.

Did they give you a rental during this time?? Perhaps if they are having to pay for your transportation during the repair of their "mistake" they might 'move it along'? That is, as long as they are able to acquire the necessary parts in a timely manner and that is not the hold up.

Just a thought.
