Hi Folks!

Was wondering if any of you had any suggestions about an issue I'm having with my 2007 "Mean" Solstice GXP. The hood keeps coming unlatched on the passenger side after taking it out for a spin. I can open it and drop it back into place and both sides latch, but after running around town for a bit the issue occurs again (it's always on the passenger side and it only seems to happen if I exceed about 50 MPH). I had this issue when I first bought it and the dealer made an adjustment that corrected it for several months, but I'm back to the same issue all over again. Has anyone had this happen or does anyone have any suggestions?

Look at the latch and loop closely, see if you can figure out what the issue is. I'm sure with a bit of playing you can adjust it yourself and get it better.

I have had this problem.

- The cable release got to close to the exhaust and heated the cable up so it doesnt release the latch completely. Important that the cable release stay routed the correct way.

- Check release cable for heat damage.

- Just push the latch closed prior to closing the hood. I went this way and the cable started to release slowly by itself overtime, and I now no longer have this problem.
