Hey everybody

I couldn't possibly digest the "Missing Part in first 10,000. Read this!" thread, and I'm sure new members will find it rather difficult also.

So, I ask, will one or two of you post here on the most current info, and then I'll lock the thread to keep it clean. If new info comes in, then someone could PM one of the mods to add the new info.

thanks! I'd really like to get this part added to my Solstice!

Rodeo,
Since this will be a locked informational thread, and there still seems to be confusion by some, I do think it would be helpful to list what exactly we are talking about. Here is a slightly modified version of my previous post.

What would be really cool is if a Mod could edit this post to show the refering picture of each corresponding part underneath each listing below.

Quote:
For future reference, just so we can all stay on the same page, let's just start refering to these as #'s.

Seal #1 = Long Quarter Panel Hood Seal
This is the part everyone wants. It's like a small bead of weather stripping along the entire top edge of the quarter panel.

Seal #2 = Internal Vertical "L" Seal
This part is like a big rectangular piece of black block foam that goes up and down underneath the hood.

Seal #3 = Short 3" Horizontal Hood "L" Seal
This is possibly a shipping protection clip only, but that has not been confirmed with 100% certainty. Until Seal #1 becomes available, it's probably better to have than not.

Pictures add per request:
#1 - Long Seal and *L* Seal
#2 - Short *L* Seal/Clip

OK, what I'll do is let people post the important info they can that is known for now, and I'll clean conversation out of the thread - we'll keep this as the "pure information thread"

good idea, I already posted a title of one of them in the previous post.

Would someone post pics of the other two items with the correct title as done in teh previous post.

Then, can someone post a summary of the most current info - even if it's just a "hey, I think this is what we know so far"

thanks everyone, I'm moving in a few weeks, and didn't have the time to take on teh tassk myself!!!

Okay...this is what I know so far...current to this evening.

The part # that was mentioned on the other thread is NOT the part # that we are looking for! It is a seal for the Wheel well not the fenderwell. I have seen the schematic.

Secondly - as of today - there has been no service bulletin issued for this/these missing seals - even tho' I was told by someone at the Plant that I could have these installed according to *the Service Bulletin*. Perhaps it is slowly making its way to publication.

Thought I would just throw this into the thread. Do not think it has been posted in these threads that I have seen with my quick overviews. It is from everyone's warranty coverage booklet:

The seal part #15904089 should be the one (same # both sides). Unfortunately, they are out of stock as of 6-01-06.

A summary of what I found out: Seal 1. is #15904089, now available to order at dealers. Seal 2. is #10352663 pretty sure on this, but not 100% positive, the illustration in my parts catalog isn't very clear. Seal 3. Used for shipping, dealer should remove, again pretty sure on this, but because the catalog don't list shipping items, I couldn't "see" it in the illustration (I made a call for the info.)
