You MUST call your dealer and ask them what part number they ordered. That would greatly benefit everyone on the forum. Thanks in advance

My 07 N/A with Premium Headliner was built in Aug 06 and it does not have these tabs and my top is ripped. The dealer has a new top on order, but I'm not sure I want to replace my top, just want the problem corrected. The hinge mechanism is completely different on the 06's, I'm guessing it was re-designed to accomodate the extra headliner. Did you do anything with the ripped portion of your liner or has the catching stopped by just adding these nylon pieces. From what I can tell, my top is getting caught up in the tear and that's where I'm pinching. I'll have to go back over to the dealer and ask them about these tabs. Thanks again, guys!!

Mine is ripped pretty good & the nylon tabs did the trick. I'll probably patch the torn area anyway. Need to figure out which adhesive to use that is stretchable. Probably rubber cement or a good weatherstripping adhesive. Any suggestions.

Spray silicone works well for freeing up the glides for the butress fabric that pulls down over the window frame. If it moves freely it will have less tension at the area that gets torn. I thing grease will collect grit & make it worse

My '07 GXP with premium headliner does have the tabs (black) and the top is fine. Go figure!

ok, here are the part numbers, a differant part for each side, I believe the top is the right side and the bottom is the drivers side

it's not just the tab that comes with these part numbers...maybe they have to take the tab off, don't know

Just checked at newgmparts.com.

19120120 Front retainer right 2006-2008 $48.88!!!!

19120248 Front retainer left 2006-2008 $48.88!!!!

100 Bucks for two stinking plastic tabs?????

Time to take it in and let Dealer take care of this one.

Question is will they install under warranty prior to top damage?

The part number is referenced to #7 on the illustration, I don't think these are the right parts. Check out #7 on the photo

That may make sense, no sign of tab in illustration. Maybe that is exactly what it is, especially if tabs are pre-assembled to part before car assembly. Although based on the area we are talking about I would think it would be part # 8 or 9. The tab is definitely
mounted to the lower curved piece not the upper straight.
