Anyone know where the front crossover resides for the door speakers and the tweeters?
Doing a little homework beforehand and I am going to bypass this crossover. I assume this is a passive crossover. Wish I had more subwoofer room to work with. My passenger may have to move up a few inches. Just to verify, the rear speakers are 3.5"? Any play for enlargement there?

I need to know if you have the Monsoon system or not, but assuming that you do; the crossover is built into the Monsoon amp behind the seats. The rear speakers are 3.5" and many have replaced with 4" easily. It seems that most stereo upgraders just leave them out of the equation because they believe that you don't get much benefit from them being behind the seats and that due to their small size they will be overwhelmed by any power upgrades before the door speakers do. I do notice them though.

Yes to the monsoon.
The tweeters and the door speakers wiring directly to the monsoon amp is good news!
Easy to find these wires. I just assumed it was a passive crossover like many component speaker package systems.
Thank you for your insight!

Actually if you search the audio mod site you should find where we posted the Monsoon wiring diagram. That will help you much.

The crossover (as such) is just a capacitor wired and mounted directly on the tweeter itself

Passive crossovers are like that.
Active ones go in before the amp and allow separate amplification of the component speakers. The most common ones people see are just for subwoofers, but they are also available for each component speaker you want or need.
