Has anyone installed a front view camera so that you don't run into those &^%$# concrete curbs in most parking lots which are much higher than the front end? If so, is there a way to have the camera automatically activate when the speed is less than say 1 mph or perhaps install an on switch?

No, but on my list for Deepbluegxp to invent, it is number 2 or 3. Not with a camera, but with a beeping system like the back up systems. A camera would be pretty tricky to estimate what the distance to object is.

I have a rear camera and it is still hard to estimate how close to an object you are. I will keep pushing, but it will probably be a year.

Chuck

Maybe someone else? The sensors are available and it is just a mater of aiming them. Perhaps on a bar under the bumper. One that can be rotated for adjustment. Sounds like chemist could also figure it out.

Who me? Nah, I am just an idea guy.

Doc,
I am thinking maybe a nice set of old fashioned curb feelers might do ya? You could mount them next to the deer whistles on the front bumper? (ducking as he throws stuff!)
