It sure doesn't look clean but Garmin sells a mount that is weighted that sits on the dash rather than a suction cup. I am one of those Sky folks and it sits nicely on the dashboard above the radio. It only moves around if you really go over some tooth jarring bumps but it has never fallen off. I use it in my full size Dodge pickup and it bounces much more in there, again it has never fallen.
Cons:
Not Clean
Costs more $$
Might bounce a bit
Pros:
Don't need to take the suction cup off the windshield everytime you go somewhere (people see the suction cup and break into the car).
EASILY Portable and easy to remove and hide in the car, nothing remains behind
No more suction cup letting go when you are driving down the road
I think I am going to buy a garmin next week. I can't decide between a 260 or a 650. found great deals on ebay for a 650 that goes for almost the same as a 260. I like the mounting points but I was think up on the dash. not sure. What do you guys do when the top is down?
I don't know what your requirements are for a GPS, but I'm waiting for the 255W which I read will be available on June 17. Here's the best price I found:

I just want something that is good and has lots of POIs and can re-route you. Seems the 350 is really nice now. Im not sure there is much difference between a 260 and a 350 but if I can get a 660 in the high to mid $200 range like I see on buy it now prices on ebay it seems like I might as well go for the higher end?

Wow thanks for the info. Its seems the 260 is nice as well as the 350. I do like the widescreens and they have that in the 260. With the difference you pointed out between the 260 and 350 I don't need any of those except maybe the FM Traffic. How does that FM traffic work? With your information I think I am going to get the 260 in widescreen. Thanks a bunch for helping me out here. I was lost for a bit.

Wow all great info. I am a little lost again...not the products but the prices. The 350 offers more but yet at walmart it is cheaper that a 260 especially a 260w. The 350 is $198 while the 260 is like $229 or something. Why would a higher model go for cheaper?

Just a word of caution and advice to everyone who has a GPS unit in the car.
These are the hottest things around for the car thieves, they are not traceable and can be removed from the auto in seconds, the thief will generally look for a car with one mounted or has just the mount or has the imprint of the suction cups visible on the windshield, they will then bust into the car and snatch the unit car alarm or no, it only takes seconds. In the instance where there is the mount or the outline of the suction cups, the moron thief will still break into your car and then look into the glove box and trunk for the unit, because this is where most people put the GPS units when they remove it from the dash. Those of you who might actually take the GPS into your house but leave the mount on the car or the suction cup circles are visible, you run the risk of replacing your window or top because the the thief thought that it was still in the car........
Just a piece of advise and a word to the wise, have taken numerous reports in my locality for this.

Nice price find at Wallmark. Identify the product you want based upon the features that you must have vs the cool stuff that you may only use once in a while or never. Price it out compared to other models. If the price delta is big enough and you can live without the features, it might change your mind. But remember why you wanted those features in the first place. Only you can determine that.
The newer models probably have faster processors, better resolution, biggers screens. Also, the new products coming out have a better graphics - much smoother and better user interface.

I think that is why its best to mount it on the dash so no window suction mounts are visible.

I was going for the 260 but the 200 screams at me price wise. One question on that. It says it comes preloaded with maps but regional. I would like to think I am smart but what does that mean regional? That means only a certain area in my state or something? Or just my state?

I am not sure about the regional map issue but strongly advise you to spend the few dollar more for the Garmin model that announces the street name for the next turn--the 200 does not. The 200 will only speak about distance to the next turn but not announce the street name.
This is a safety issue and you want to not take your eyes off the road to look down at your GPS to determine if you are turning on the right street. Can not stress this enough.
