These are the major adapter/harness manufacturers. Scosche has been saying they have a chime retaining harness coming out any day since March. AI and metra are supposed to be working on it too.

If anything ever comes out, you can bet I'll be shouting about it.

Another company that is used out West by many installers is PAC--Pacific Audio Control. They show up each year at CES-Consumer Electronics Show, mobile audio section. Google the name and once you search their products you will find they have all kinds of interfaces to maintain On-Star, chimes, etc., etc. for a host of vehicle makes and models. Have not checked lately for Solstice offerings but they seem to always have something in the works as to interfaces. Given the Solstice head unit (understand GM calls it their bow tie radio) is the same that is appearing in so many of their vehicles, HHR, Impala, etc. it makes sense that interface companies come up with new products.

I plan to keep my head unit so that all looks stock but upgrade the monsoon amp, front speakers to some Alpine 6.5/separate tweeters, and sub once I find out if a JL Audio sub will fit.

Nice Job! I went for the double den "nav" from Pioneer, this way I don't lose use of my controls without having to move my screen! I however I love the storage for CD"S and stuff Bravo!!!

would it have been possible to put the nav system in the lower portion of the headunit so that maybe it wouldnt block the a/c controls?
