It sounds like THEFTLOCK has activated on your radio. Has the radio worked previously or is that the way you received it? Make sure it is the original radio for the car. Email the dealer you purchased the car from and they should help you. Look at page 185 in your owners manual.

I am not sure how global On-Star's capabilities are, but if the car is so equipt, they might be able to do something for you.

On star will not work in his country, it is not working here in dubai also.
Speaking about radio, in USA, all your radio are locked for the even digit, for example 104.8 can not go on your radio. I have a hummer H2 with a radio bought in USA and it can also not do it when the same radio from the local dealer can do it.
Any idea how to move that kind of lock as i imagine that in the car that i am going to receive within one month, same problem will come and it means that i will not be able to listen many frequencies again.

Mobliem ... you can go to mygmlink.com - sign up with your VIN and there you can view the owner's manual in it's full context. Its listed in the "GLOVEBOX" section.

I hope you resolve your problem, Gregory. But in the meantime, welcome to the Solstice Forum. And congratulations on being a member of the SOC (Solstice Owners Club).

May I suggest you post some photos of your car with some interesting backgrounds of your country? I'm sure many of us would enjoy that. Perhaps you could add some details concerning where you purchased your vehicle, shipping details to Poland including cost and transit time, and what you have learned concerning warranty work on your car in a foreign country. Thanks a bunch!

And a big welcome to you as well, maeag. Apparently you are a Hummer owner but not a Solstice owner? Any plans in the near future for a Solstice? We'd love to see photos from over there too. Thanks!

Radio Messages
Calibration Error: The audio system has been
calibrated for your vehicle from the factory. If Calibration
Error appears on the display, it means that the radio
has not been configured properly for your vehicle and it
must be returned to your dealer for service.

Locked: This message is displayed when the
THEFTLOCK® system has locked up the radio. Take
the vehicle to your dealer for service.
If any error occurs repeatedly or if an error cannot be
corrected, contact your dealer.

Theft-Deterrent Feature
THEFTLOCK® is designed to discourage theft of your
vehicle’s radio. The feature works automatically by
learning a portion of the Vehicle Identification Number
(VIN). If the radio is moved to a different vehicle, it
will not operate and LOCK or LOCKED will appear on
the display.
With THEFTLOCK® activated, the radio will not operate
if stolen.

I think you will have to contact the GM "dealer" you bought it from to "unlock" your radio ..... or buy an aftermarket radio and install it.

So cool how we can reach out to others in other countries and "bond" together because of this car called the SOLSTICE!

Not be be the first to sound off with skeptism, but whose to say it's not a stolen radio or a stolen car shipped overseas via cargo container and our new forum member (May 2008) is just looking for a quick fix to a radio that doesn't work.

If he bought the car legally then why is he asking us to give him the fix. Just go to where you bought it.

Something smells, glad the radio locked
