Step 1: Call 800-682-4114
Step 2: Say "I want 5 months for 20 bucks"
Step 3: (If yes, say thank you)(If no, say goodby and repeat)

This worked on my first try with absolutly no push back. I also mentioned that I bought the car used recently (Yes I really did) and heard about 3 free months service. She gave it to me too! 8 months of XM for $20!!!

5 months = $4/month
8 months = $2.50/ month

I thought I got a good deal for $70.00 for 1 year.

Cool I will give this a try. Not a bad price but I hope XM has gotten better

Just did this... all worked fine, no problems at all.

Well, I just tried it and the first woman said no dice, then I asked if there were any deals and she said no. I would have to pay full price.

I hung up and called right back and this time the rep said, I will make you a great deal. You can have 3 months free and then call back at the end of three months and he would make me a great deal. Did not even have to give a credit card number. What a business.

So I am good to go.

One hint though, you need to know the receiver number. Turn on the xm and go to channel 0 and it will pop up. Write it down and then call.

I have no idea why each time you call you get a different option.
