Well the car just came out of the paint shop, and it was mismatched again. So the painter is going to do a blending technique and repaint the front, hood and fenders again. That yellow is so difficult to get it to match. While I'm at it, I am going to have them paint the new rear diffuser yellow. The black paint didn't grow on me. I am really burnt out on working on this car. Thats why I have not been on the forums lately. Picked up some new sponsors at sema that want to do something crazy for the solstice nationals. I'm interested in widening the rear of the car.. Thats a real good possiblity. Stay tuned.
2008 show sponsors: Team Solstice 2008, JPM, Wind Restrictor, Werks, Aspis, Norm's Fiberglass, DDM, AfterShock, Universal Studios, Cardomain, Easystreet AirLift, , Parkerracing, Madmods-Motorsports, Scap. To be a sponsor, just pm me.
See madmods in the upcoming Fast & Furious 4.
2009 Colorado Nationals attendee! I will be there and want to
party with everyone. Some of you owe me a beer.

Good luck with your paint. I guess your sticking with the RK hood?
I would love to see a widebody version of the Solstice. Have you seen the new Porsche Cayman widebody kit?
This has a real clean look to it from the side. Don't care much for the wing or lower rear fascia treatment. I saw a red Cayman on the road yesterday with these wheels, but the chromed section was powder coated red along with the brake callipers to match the car. The wheel treatment made the car even more spectacular.
Hope you can post pics of your new f430 rear facia soon.

I am using one of Norms new finned diffuser. The f430 was just not a reasonable project
without me dumping a ton of more cash.
A widebody should not be that hard to make. Even taking that porsche one and reshaping it around the sol body would work. Just a thought.

Some times your better off with a complete repaint than peicing it. I was a manager of a aircraft paint facility, you could spray the same batch a day a part and come up with two distinct colors.
Well enjoy the yellow! If I had the money I would paint a Solstice with the Ford mystic finish. Imagine the car every color of a rainbow at once.
Cant believe you are still hard at it. What did you find wrong with the fuel system since you were at Tony's place?
