I finally got a few minutes yesterday to install the GREAT etched WindRestrictor I got from Robert (his website) a couple of weeks ago.
Wiring was simple (put the switch in the waterfall storage compartment, and got power from the dark brown wire in the harness on the passenger side of the trunk), and the results quite satisfying!
Pics below!
(Yes, that's Beaker, of muppet fame! My hero! )
I got the version 2 (mounts INSIDE the cabin) and I really like it! I heartily recommend the WindRestictor for both funstion and form! Plus, you are doing business with a fine young man (Robert Pennington)!
BTW, he is still slowly recuperating from his last bout with his failing liver. His brother and sister (Hi, Stephen, Rebecca! ) are helping out with the business now and it seems to be going fine.
Thanks again to Robert, Stephen, and Rebecca! I hope to meet all of you face-to-face sometime.

SWEEEET!!!!! I really like what you had done and the result I have been lurking in the back ground on this mod, but now that I have viewed yours I'm going to order one. Hopefully Robert will be up to full production soon. I'll wait until he says he's ready to go again.

Depending upon what etching you want, lights, controls, etc. cost varies. Hit his website for a full listing. Mine was a bit more than normal, due to custom etching, and green LEDs.

Very nice! Did you get the double knob switch with your WR? (brake light adjuster) I am looking for some installation tips, so I can install mine next week. Any pics of the install area would be appreciated.
Thanks
~Steve

Chemist that looks excellent. I saw the commotion that these WRs caused(and deservedly so) at the KC meet but said to myself "yeh, very nice but it's a little over-the-top for an old dude like me." And then here you come(not that you're old, lad) all flashin' and tempting me to re-think it. Can't help following Robert's plight here and wish him the best and when he's up to it, I think I'll cave in and order one. Thanks for the reminder and I'll be asking for directions to connect it properly when the time's right.-bird
