I know I'll get a load of flames for this but anything other than a stock exhaust on a Solstice just sounds like another rice burner. I can't stand it.
I wouldn't say it sounds like a rice burner, far from it.
It is different though. The good thing is that you CAN make get them so they are not so loud. They key is performance. The sound is like deciding what color you want to paint your house, you want the house but ya just not sure if you like that bright orange paint job!

I have heard many a rice burner in my day and these exhaust don't sound anything like them. In the clips, some might sound that way, but up close in real life, they sound awesome.
BTW, both new videos added! Thanks everyone...so far the list is looking really good and extensive.
They do not sound like a rice burner at all IMO. I think I actually heard one exhaust through that whole mix that I didn't like, and it was raspy. Could have been the video recording, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't.
IMO, they don't sound like v6s or v8s but they sound like very aggressive four cylinders. I would match them to the tone of a Neon SRT-4 actually. It's the only car I've ever heard that actually sounds like ours. Cobalt SS's sound like crap or at least every single one of them I've heard. And any other four cylinder is from Japan or China. Something about the resonanace of those motors :puke:

Agreed Scuba...they do sound more like the SRT-4, but the Street race kit tends to sound more like a 6 cylinder, especially with the HF cat. My friend has that set-up and it sounds friggin awesome!

Mine sounded deeper with just the magnaflow catback, then I added the header and cat :puke:
So I put in the resonator which didn't quiet it down but took away all raspiness. Which I was happy with. But it wasn't close to as deep as before.
So then I added the supercharger which deepened it up again but made it even louder.
I wonder what stage two will do

Is the Stage II supercharger even released yet? I am waiting on my tune from Lyndon using HP Tuners so that is psyching me up. I like the ability to custom tune it so i am switching from the BSR. Can that BSR box be sold?

It should be shipped sometime very soon. But mine won't be on until the end of march. Too much to do that weekend that I install it...
Diff fluid
Tranny Fluid
Rear Diff Bushing
Power Steering Flush
Stage II Install
Custom Painting under the hood and a few other things
Zaino the car
Install Springs on car
Install pillar pods (I cross my fingers that they'll be done)
Install wideband into Pillar
Install differential brace
Going to be one hell of a weekend...
The only thing I'm doing before then is powdercoating my rims. I can't get a hold of my powdercoater so maybe no though.
I agree with the ability to tune factor. That's the only other thing I'm buying this year (unless the clutch goes) is hp tuner.

The Moderators should make this thread a sticky. Obviously a lot of work went into the original post and others will find this resource valuable for years to come.
