I would still like to see something made up to locate the plate to the side of the grill. I have a billit grill which the oem plastic plate holder will not fit.

At the bottom of the reply page, below the text entry box, is a button labeled "manage attachments." Click on that, then click on a "browse" button in the window that pops up. Find the file your want, click "upload," close that popup window, click "submit reply," and you should be good to go.

No, thank _you_ for proving that we can use that bracket on a N/A Sol!

Can you detail how this mounts on the N/A Solstice? I'm looking at going this route when the AfterShock recessed grills become available.

Just as posted on this site for lowered plates I followed the instructions from Davies. Drilled holes, placed screw inserts into hols and tightened up. Worked fine till I added heavier License frame and plastic cover. Spring was too weak for this so I went to hardware store to beef up spring. Will be glad to add more detail if needed but it was fairly simple and I did it way bak in Jan, just after I got my Sol.

Motorized Plate

I just found this on my vw forum, thought I'd post it here.

I'm still unsure if I want to order, but I know a lot of us were looking for a motorized plate. I'm just afraid it may scrape on speed humps, that and I haven't actually gotten a ticket for no front plate. Just a warning, over a year ago.

That's exactly what we need.
Would love to see one on a Solstice.

Can you post a pic of it in the down position? Looks like it may stick out a ways.

And thanks again for what you've already done.
