Thanks. I'm hoping it's pretty straight forward. I'll be ordering from that site that has the blue leds already to go with 3' of wire. I've ordered from there before. Just tap into the dark brown and run the LEDs where I want them.
Any more to it than that?
I'm looking forward to being creative!!!!!!

1. I am so sorry to resurrect this old thread but I would like some more information. I would like the lights to come on when the door opens and dim to off, after door closes. I do not want them to stay on when headlights are on but to just go off like mirror lights. Which wire (color) should I tap into?

2. Also where is a good place to get everything I need. I checked out the link but it did not state whether or not it had wires attached, and could not find the resistors to make it 12 volt (unless of course I do not need them)

3. Do you think two 5mm will be enough light to replace lost mirror light?

Any more information on what to buy would be great.

Sorry if these questions are ignorant but I have never tried anything like this and I am replacing the mirror with one without map lights.

depends on where you want to mount them...and the leds I bought came with wires attached and resistors...direct wire in.........Im going to add a switch in to ours to turn them on and off as I need them much like the map lights....have one under the waterfall and one each in each foot well and they provide plenty of light
