Tried to find as much info as possible on this doing a search but I thought that Norm actually had a thread or at least contributed to a thread where he laid out more details instructions with tips and tricks. Anyone know where it might be if at all ?

Thanks in advance folks....

Hello John, install is even more straight forword as I have redone the molds for an even eaiser install again.
You will need a 1/4 in drive rachet with a 6in. extention 10mm socket on a universal to get at the bolt on the inside of the door jam. Also a 7mm socket to get at the smaller bolts in the fender well and on top.
First (very important) use masking tape on the leading edge to protect the door edge from chipping and to mark where the stock fender is at the top edge. This is so you have a referance point of where to line up the new fender.
Once you have removed the stock fender, you will see the support bar behind it. Loosen the 10mm bolts that hold it at the door jam and at the lower frame. As a starting point move the support bar 3/16" down and forword, now repostion the new fender in place at the mark that you made on the tape, be careful when opening and closing the door untill you have the gaps correct. This may take a few attempts untill your satisfied with the gaps. Its not difficult just tedious, for the first time mechanic (you, LOL) it may take an afternoon and maybe a few beverages. Not to worry it will come into place, Im sure you can accomplish this. The inside 10mm door jam bolt just keep it lightly snug untill you have your in and out depth correct, then tighten when finished. Simple, right. Thanks Norm 574-255-7843

It is as easy as it looks man getting to that bolt in the door jam is the hardest part and I have the older version. If Norm made it even easier that must mean it mounts itself .

One suggestion though. There is a padding along one of the the upright support rods that will run right behind the vent screen. Take that off fromthe visible area for two reasons. 1. you can see it through the screen and 2. if for some reason you want to take the screen off at a later date it gives you the room to do so without taking off the whole fender.

Norms the man and now that I am only a few hours away from him, I definatly plan to make a trip to his shop for a tour and to shake his hand. And to hopefully pick up a set of the transformer side skirts when those are ready.

Just curious guys...in Norm's instructions it mentions to move the support bar 3/16" down and forward....is that because the new fender is a different size ?

Seems to me that the alignment of the support bar is the key to the whole deal. Going to try to get this done over the weekend.

Got me on that one. I've had mine on too long to remember and I don't think I even glanced at the instruction sheet when I put them on.

Uncle Sam is blocking mine, but I have thought about this mod for over a year. I have heard the new batch fits better on the passenger's side and will check out this post at the house.
