My New Stripes!

Here are three pics of my new stripes. A friend of mine painted them and covered them with several coats of clear. He outlined them with a narrow silver pinstripe which doesn't show very well in the pictures. As you can see, he also painted the silver area behind the seats yellow and continued the stripes into the passenger compartment and ran the stripes down the "waterfall". I had him paint the grilles the same as the stripes so that they blend in with the stripes. Also I had him paint the grilles around the fog lights yellow so as not to draw away from the stripes.

I'm digging it.. The waterfall paint makes it a hit with me. Just looks like it was always like that.

I can't decide if I should say you should now do the window surround in yellow or black.. I'm leaning to black if the top is up, yellow if its down.

Carpe Diem - I've said it before, and I still agree . . . A front license plate on a Solstice is like a Playboy centerfold with a hair lip.

That looks awesome. I like how you had the grills painted to match the body color around them with the stripes and the Mean. I have never seen that before.
love the way the waterfall looks too.
If you tint your windows super dark then I would say go with a black windshield surround.
I always liked the way that looked, but I am a little biased...

Your stripes are awsome. I like it especially because it covers the front bumper area where the license plate holder usually sits and has 2 holes in the bumper. I took my front plate bracket off and have fugly holes in that area, and wanted to stripe the car in a way that would cover those holes. I may ask your permission later in the year if I could copy your style.
May I ask how much you paid to get these stripes painted on?

I just noticed you painted yout Pontiac arrow yellow to? That's TRICK!!!!

I love it. The silver pin-striping outside the black stripes really makes the whole thing work together perfectly. Great job!

I had alot more done than the stripes, but the stripes with four coats of clear was about $1200.00 He completely took the front and rear off to do it properly. Here is a picture of what he did to my engine cover.

Had me reaching for the bug repellant. Like the way yoi integrated the interior. I vote for black windshield frame, but you should tape it to see if you like it first.

Love the stripes. It's almost as if your exhaust tips are completing two big exclamation marks.

You car begs for the black headlights.

VERY nice, solsticebarber, I like it a lot.

And the engine cover is FAR OUT! (sorry, that's the way we talked in my youth! )
