I never got the BLM switch to work (yet), so I figured that I would do the easiest and quickest fix. I really have not tested it out ... other than with the seats back, so I will test it out really well in the next couple of days. The only thing I see wrong so far is that the silver metal template on the front of the WR was put on a little off, so the LED is a little blinding and the tips of the metal are poking my seats. I am going to attempt to heat up the adhesive and adjust the template. (should be an easy fix) I plan to add a switch later on, but the battery pack is an easy temporary fix.
BTW: "Never Forget" is the motto for the 42d ID (National Guard from NY area) and I served most of my tour in Iraq under their command. I wanted to honor those we lost in Iraq and the tear in the eagle's eye was what I had Robert add to pay tribute. I think it came out pretty good.
TOP UP:
Top Down ...Extreme Close Up (to help show the tear) :
Top Down ... with flash:
Top Down ... From XM antenna distance (Pretty cool reflection!) :
From Inside ... LED is not being blocked fully (I am going to try and adjust)

Nice WR, Steve! I'm thinking about replacing mine with a V2 down the road. My regular one is connected to the fog light switch and it works out pretty well for me- something you may wish to consider.

That is a great idea Was it easy? (any tips ... ie where the connection point is located) ) That would save me from having to install a switch.

It was really easy. I pulled it into the super-secret test garage at work and got one of the guys to do it! I spent the whole time BSing with someone else because I really didn't want to see him pulling my car apart. It only took about 10 minutes for the entire install, but he had access to wiring diagrams for the car. I did, however break out the phone for a pic while he did it!
(Sadly, it's nothing useful... )

Fantastic tribute, very fitting, very many people will see it.
Great incentive to get out and drive for no reason....
Also I am very impressed with the quality of the laser etching.

Steve, that WR etching looks good. I was wondering if you have driven on the freeway yet. Does the WR v2 have any vibration issues at 60 or more mph?

Not on the freeway yet, but I drove it on a back country road (~60-65 ... cops around) and it held up well. However, I did have both head rests pressed against the WR. The seats really help support the WR and I am about the right height (5'8") to use the seats for support. I will dive with the seats up tomorrow, if it does not rain. I have heard that both (Kappa and WR) are a little unstable around 45 mph and with no support, but I will see for sure. However, If you are around my height, then the seats are a great way to support the WR.
