New Custom Mesh Grille

Hi guys and gals,

Just wanted to show you my wife's new mesh grille we had made for her car. The quality of the material is outstanding. It was a little tough to get a good fit but the company that made it was great to work with. They are looking for a local sol owner to fine tune the fit and finish of the grille. They are in the Brentwood CA area. If you are interested, please PM me. We hope you like it. Have a good one.

That's very interesting.

I'm sure that a few would like this look.

I'd like to see how it looks on the GXP. I have a deep also and kind of like the black colour of the grills. Does the mesh come in black? Would that fine a mesh interfere with the airflow to the intercooler? It sure would keep some of the larger bugs out for sure.

hey, i've been thinkin about mounting some sort of mesh behind the fascia for some time but have never even gone out to check.

How does the 'lip' look? Does it look somewhat finished at all? If so it'd be perfect.

I like it too. Only thing I would like better is if the mesh was hexagonal.......

Dang - that looks really, really awesome! I wanted mesh but couldn't find anything that I liked until this one. It looks like a high quality installtion. Would be curious to see how it is mounted in there.

Well played byebye140!!

Like the grills but holding out for our contributing vendor AfterShock that makes the new rear lip spoiler to come to market with the grills and light surround like GM had on their show car a couple years ago at SEMA. To me this is the ticket--will just have to wait.

Think if enough of us owners put pressure on them they may move their development schedule up. Come on, let's all write to them and express our interest.

Thanks for the comments.

We thought it tuned out pretty sharp but you never know what others think until you ask!

I believe he has the option to do powder coated black and a polished/chrome look mesh. I am not sure on final pricing. This was a prototype and as I mentioned, he is looking for someone near him to finalize the design and bring it to market. It mounts flush in the factory kidney opening and the lip is the same one seen if not less than the factory grilles. Please feel free to ask any other questions. Have a good weekend all.

..............
You know I hate to be the spoiler in this....I like the recessed setback look for sure but the plastic honeycomb look as far as I am concerned....excuse me a sec.... sorry.... It just does not cut it for me...just looks like another "plasticized abomination" to me...this is a throw back look car.... plastic at least the look of it does not cut it...

I will take what I have or what started this thread any day...
......................

Of course "PC" speaking this is just my humble opinion....
