Opel Rebadging photos

Several of you have PM'ed me asking for photos of my rebadging mods. I also blacked out the remaining Pontiac Emblems. Here are the links to the photos

I was looking at those wheels today. Are the black accents removable or do tey just look that way? I'm personaly not sure about the opel label (only since it's not one) and the steering wheel badge is to 350Z to me but the rest looks very nice. Great work.

Actually, the Solstice IS an Opel in Europe. GM released the Opel in Europe before the GXP was released here. That is an actual steering wheel emblem off an Opel from Europe.

The black "star" is attached with hex head bolts and is removable. Not sure how it would look though.

Understood and I'm not trying to bash but the opel in looks more like the sky than the solstice. It's just not my taste is all. If you like it and I would say others will also then it's all good.

Was curious about removal for painting them to match my baby.

Thanks for the info.

The opel gt is a rebadged saturn sky, not a solstice.

I think rebadging an American car to resemble a rebadged American car is silly. Unless it's a Sky. Which even GM thought a rebadge was in order.
Opel is a German last name, the manufacturer's last name.
It's a car with less known racing heritage than Pontiac.

So far as not liking the name Solstice.... It's name is not in reference to either of the two Astromical Solstices but rather ...
2. a furthest or culminating point; a turning point

Which is a Perfect name for THIS car.
this car embodies Pontiac's "Turning Point". Celebrate this with a name.

I never said I didn't like the definition of the word Solstice, I just dont care for the word itself. I own and operate a marketing/advertising firm and the word Solstice goes against several market proven guidelines involving syllabic content and the fluidity of which the word is spoken. Nothing personal guys, just my own opinion imparted on my own car.

But, I do get ALOT more attention/admirers/questions regarding the car from people since I completed the rebadging. It seems that when people saw the Pontiac Solstice emblems the car was relegated to "just a Pontiac", albeit a pretty cool looking Pontiac. Since the rebadging to Opel, the general public seems to think it is some exotic european supercar akin to a Porsche or Aston Martin. I guess that just proves how much marketing power is in the simple name of a product.
