Would this be anything like what has already been done by other shops?

Tweety, that looks nice.
I wouldn't consider that a diffuser though. More like an insert or a lower rear panel.
I would love to see a functional rear diffuser created. Imagine the rear end of a Lotus elise/exige.

Have you given any thought as to the exhaust routing yet? I have some pictures of mine that I could send you so that you don't have to do any guessing.
My car sound nearly stock, if that's what you are looking for.

My suggestion is to produce two versions. Since most Solstices are single sided exhausts... make that for the general population and then the duals for the dualers. If that makes sense.

I do not know when or even IF I'm going to install a center or dual exhaust, so the single sided diffuser would be on my purchase list if it was functional and good looking, and if it were, I'd even consider a carbon fiber piece.

I can't wait to see this.
Will this be a side mount, dual mount or center mount piece?

I have a side stock exhaust.
Maybe a poll would be nice.

This project is going through finishing processes
with the molds. The cardboard pieces will be made
ot of fiberglass or carbon fiber and bolted on to the diffuser.
Contact Norm for the back piece right now!
The wings can be retrofitted if you have bought
this piece already from Norm or Kappaschere.

I'm going to beta test this for a week to check out clearance. Heres a sneak peak. It looks beautiful in person! I should have it mounted tommorow. Still itching from the fiberglass Contact Norm
