shaved door kits

I have been thinking of adding a shaved door kit to my car. I have been looking at SPAL products, they have a few different kits. I have an 06 and have had the door panels off a few times recently and dont see any solenoids inside. If I do this do I need a kit with them or am I not seeing them. My car does have power door locks but don't have the power door lock button inside that I believe got put in during 07 or 08. Also, I would like to get rid of the interior door handles is there a way to wire up the door unlock button that is in the 07 and later door panels to open the door from the inside or is there another way to do this?

Im from richmond as well but living in fl. The kit will come with everything you need including the 2 soleniods one for each door, 2 keys fobs and the pull wire that unlocks your doors. I have used mostly autoloc buy they are both the same. It doesnt matter that you dont have a button inside. Also they sell poppers which they push the door open when you hit the button. The soleniod unlocks it. IMO poppers are not needed on this car. Just make sure when you order the kit that you get a heavy weight like a 20 or 50 pound cause our doors are heavy.

Thanks the ones I am looking at are 40 lb. Do you know of anything that I could use to replace the interior door handles with a button?

the door handles on the inside will work the same, i used my factory key fob with autoloc solenoids, be careful mounting, the window leaves little clearance, and the solstice hinge pulls vertically as opposed to horizontal, i suggest using a cable that can bend through the door, also, i had my solenoids wrapped in bags, the solstice has a gap by the window thats hard to notice, but im sure youve also notice the drain ducts on the inside of the door, they get watery in heavy rain and will blow your poppers up... i had a puplly inside my fender incase they went out

How were you able to use the factory fobs? Did it open both doors when you hit the unlock or did you get it to hit the drivers per the lock and passengers per unlock, or vise-versa?

Whats a puplly?
