I was conversing with Rich at Santana Interiors about possibly doing a custom shifter ring. We wanted to know if there is any interest out there for an upgraded ring?
I currently have A/C rings from Madmods car. They are larger in diameter with the dimpled marks surrounding it. I also have his shifter that came out of an Audi TT. They have surrounding bolts and an acrylic ring underneath that has led's to give a pretty cool effect but in the end the shifter was smaller in diameter and needed extensive modifications to work. I have a custom shifter from JPM made for it but the OEM ring used ultimately became brittle at the tabs and loosely fell off. The shifter was cool as it would take any universal shift knob but just not what I wanted.
I simply want a better shifter ring that can add the leds, have the bolt down look, paintable and not so brittle. I had tried and tried to contact Aftershock via email, PM and website but never a response. They had one in development stage but like so many good ideas, drifted away.
Since Rich continues to make quality cup holders and now billet center wheel caps for OEM and some aftermarket wheels (with custom engraving), I figured lets see if it can be done.
What do you think? Anyone need one or want an upgraded one? This is just a feeler for now to find out interest. Nothing is created or price made at this time.

Talk with Dave too. He has told me on many occasions that he can design and have cut any part you need on the waterjet. He made me some custom parts and they turn out very nicely.
The punisher head on the left in the picture was generated by Dave on the waterjet

I would have to see what the LED's look like before I decide. But, I am interested in a new shifter ring even more if it came as a set to replace all the rings..

This. Not really into the LEDs but something cleanish or Audi looking...

sometimes less is more.. plus would like something that would compliment the door sills from windrestrictor which actually is brushed aluminum...

Here is the Audi TT version with the LED's. It is aluminum. But if we can generate enough interest, I would hope he can create with or without the led's. The ring would just be the same diameter as ours. I would post a picture of Aftershocks version but don't want to infringe on his development if he ever came around doing his.

The ring itself looks cool but, would still like to keep my shifter boot.. not to crazy about that plunger looking thing.. Have you thought of a ring with a shift gate pattern like the Lamborghinis & such? This way you can get rid of the boot & be more unique. Just a thought.... what about the rest of the rings? If the price is right I'm definitely interested...

For me, I like the LED's but don't have to have it. I'm more wanting the rivet look, paintable and not as brittle. For this Shift ring, we were not looking at the shift boot being changed. This would be a replacement of the outer ring and not the inner ring (although Rich may do both to make them fit right). The picture is only to see the type of ring and not the boot. I likes the leather.
I hope that answers correctly.

I too would be interested in this. I had some rings installed on my Red Devil that went over the AC vents. They were silver and black. I got creative and bought some cool looking digital clocks that had gauge like bezels around them. I took the clock bezels off and used them as vent covers. The fit perfectly. Now I can no longer find the clocks and I traded in RD for my new Black Widow project car. This is what they looked like with my dash kit I had.
Where did you get the vent rings from red devil???

Like I said, I bought some digital clocks from Pep Boys a while back in the accessory section. I then took them apart and removed the top bezels because they looked like aftermarket gauges. They were already flat black and metallic silver. I glued them to the outside of the factory vent rings. When I traded in my car for my new GXP, I left them on my car and did not remove them. I though i could just buy new ones, but now I can't find the clocks being sold anyplace at all.
