Ah, and when is this alleged 'droop' supposed to occur? Having not witnessed any droop personally, maybe I should make a note so I'll know it when I see it
And don't you (Deepbluegxp) be encouragin' him, either!!!

Mel,
I'm sorry about the dents. It really didn't look like you were overloading the luggage rack at all!!! Let us know how Dent Wizard does with the removal. We're glad you made it home okay.

I suspect the rack will quickly loose sales now that it is evident it can cause damage to our beloved Solstice.
YUH THINK ???????
so sorry to hear - i'd be livid...........
you seem to be handling it much better than most of us would ...
..... serious design flaw if it was meant for a sol ??.... i figure a pad could ould have proctected the paint but pressure dings .....OMG !! ....
.....i'd be looking for compensation for the R&D on kenny - poor baby !!........thats horrible !!

YEAH I DID THAT !
I'll see what I can do-it's the joint where the top strap section connects to the rack and the lower strap section-no bolts were loose, it appears to have just flexed at that point, when the lid was closed, with contents on the rack.
I'm not going to get into all the comments about whether or not your rack is droopy or not, seems hearty enough to me! However, I'm really surprised that no one else has commented on how nice your rear end is! http://www.solsticeforum.com/forum/a...d= 1182859302
Dat's a niiiice one!

Kenny does have a nice butt even with his new dimples

AR, did you say you closed the trunk with the boxes on the rack? That could have caused it to flex. In addition, we have seen since we got these cars how many people have dented them with a misplaced hand when closing the trunk, so it doesn't take much to make the dents that show in your pictures.
I'm sure that if the rack (the metal one stuck on Kenny's back for you dirty minded folk) was bouncing during your trip you would have had more damage than slight paint damage and dimples with the miles you had to travel.
