Venture Shield Paint Protection Installed

I had the Venture Shield installed yesterday (hood, bumper, wheel rockers, mirrors etc) and it looks great. You literally have to be looking for it and be within 2 feet to notice the material. When you see it, then you really can only see the edges ... not the rest of the material

Pics 1 and 3 were taken 3-6 inches away ... so you can see that the clear bra is hard to see. The other pics were taken 1-2 feet away and the material stops at the top of the headlights, so coverage is good. I will take better pics away from the house later (to reduce the amount of glare).

They make 2 kits and combined they are about $370 (no tax or shipping costs) I had trouble finding a local installer and finally found one here on a holiday weekend (20+ yrs experience) for $250. He did a great job and for a 6-7 hour job on a holiday weekend $250 was fair IMHO. The kits cover the bumper, hood (flush with headlights), wheel rockers, and mirrors. He had to get his friend to help him with the front bumper and the mirrors were tough due to the shape (there were 4 pieces for each mirror).

IMHO I wish I had it done before I drove it off of the lot ... at 3000 miles I have a few minor blemishes that only I can see and a couple that can be spotted by others. $600 seems to be about the average cost I found in this , so the price was not bad. I feel less nervous driving the back roads and worrying about farm vehicles, or 4x4s slinging rocks on my ride now.

I detailed my GXP (fully) prior to the install. The instructions tell you to apply "a good Canuba Wax (spelling?) after the curing phase." You need to apply wax at least 2 times a year to keep it from being damaged (scratched I guess).

EDIT: I believe Venture Shield is a Supporting Vendor, so here is a link to to supplier I used to buy their film.

$250 installed?...That's an amazing price! I've been doing this a long time, but I wouldn't go that low, especially without taxes. Looks great...congrats!

That was just the labor ... I bought the kits, so I paid aprox $620 all together. The kits took him 6-7 hours, so he made about $40 per hour (tax free). I think we were happy with the deal
