Although I haven't seen these online, you can purchase them from CrateEngineDepot.

part number is 12614967 for the 2008 GXP / redline ECM.

retail is $583.42, I was quoted $437.57 by Tom over at Crate Engine. His email is tom@crateenginedepot.com.

good luck!

Thank you very much. I just sent him a e-mail. I talked to Lyndon from Westers garage today and just awaiting for the Wester Tune to come out for the 2008 RL, so just doing my homework on how much i can get a spare ECM for. If anyone else knows any other places with a good deal please let me know. Thanks

Try GMDirect

around $280 for the 2007 part number 12605038

I'm assuming when the 08 Westers Tune is available, Dejon will start selling the tune with a replacement ECM. That's what's being offered on his website for the 07's. How that price will compare to crateenginedepot or gmdirect I cannot say; however, based on the 07 prices, I think it would be comparable.

not knowing to much abouth the new era of vehicles, I just requested the part # for my
08 HHR SS ECM, and it is the same part # that is listed for the 08 GXP....12614967
so would that mean that most of the parameters for the GXP, RL and SS are the same?
I just thought that the different models would have different ECM's even though they share the same engine....

Same ecm but different programming or code for 08 GXP vs 07 GXP or 08 HHR SS.
For example , for the launch control of the SS, the programming for the ABS/TC is
quite different from the GXP. Thus both have same hardware but different software.
Thus we are waiting for Westers to finish learning the 08 code so we can get a 08
tune even tho the actual pcm for 08 is same as 07.

A Sky guy lurking over here with you folks....

I called Westers last week, and they said the 08 tunes were available. He also said that if you purchase a separate ECM to have tuned, that it needs to have the same "service number" as the one in your vehicle. I don't know how or where to find this number, but it sounded as if there are several flavors of ECMs for the 08s...

Can you just email me a pic of your ECM showing the GM information sticker to sales@dejontool.com

BTW it is probably the same as the North American ECM, but we want to make sure
