Be careful what you ask for . . .

I'm sure you'll get yours soon.

I'm working with SOLO Performance to validate their exhausts with the Curt stock Solstice hitch.

Unfortunately at this time these are only prototype pieces and we cannot release specific details. Once the product is released, we will be able to answer more of your more specific questions. What I can say is, Fujita has tried a combination of filters, tube diameters, bends, and MAF locations so what ever the final product ends with, will be that way for a reason. It all comes down to the Dyno numbers.

From what I understand, they should be released around mid-march, although that is tentative, along with the pricing.

Talked to Dave at Performance Autowerks, he said that they gained 15whp on my GXP from just their intake. I don't know the time frame of when they'll be ready for orders though.

I have a MF 3" system installed, but have ordered the Solo race pipe system anyway. The MF is a wonderful system, but STILL too quiet for autocross. That's right - QUIET. Not much louder than stock, but still very nice. I may still drive up to Curt in March for a hitch for the RL. Not sure yet.

15whp with stock exhaust or aftermarket?

It's through the stock exhaust, because he's still working on the new exhaust system.

It'd be interesting to get 4 dyno runs:
Stock Exhaust, Stock Intake
Stock Exhaust, Cold Air Intake
Free Flow Exhaust, Stock Intake
Free Flow Exhaust, Cold Air Intake

It's always hard to guess performance from the reported boost each component makes. So a 30hp exhaust plus a 15hp intake doesn't yield 45hp... though it'd be interesting to see what it did yield.

Thanks,
Russ

I'm sure Dave will post results once he's finished. He ran a few baseline, and is doing dyno runs after the intake, and then after the exhaust. I don't know if he'll do one with the stock intake back on the car, with the new exhaust though.

Yeah we saw the same thing with the base cars. 10HP for intake or 10HP for exhaust, but combined you still only got 10HP peak, but other areas increased at least.

Makes sense. The turbo cars may get a bit more benefit from both at once.

I'm hoping that GM gave us that gift with the GXP ... after all the GXP-R had some nice numbers and maybe these two mods will yield similar results ...

I'm more interested in getting 300whp than 300 crank hp. But that will take a turbo upgrade.
