well there is always the one from the STS-v. Perhaps it's electronics are compatible?

But then they said the same thing about the 700r4 back in the day and look how strong the 4l65E (its decendent) is now. Im sure that trans can be beefed up with more line presure, better sprag's, more clutches etc.

Stock intercooler
Stock exhaust.
I'll try to get the databoard hooked up to the HPT log so we can monitor P1/P2 on the stock stuff at these flows.

Very exciting stuff. I know a breakthrough will happen soon (maybe sooner). I just got my 2008 GXP 3 weeks ago. Solo Mach shorty and Westers regular (not race/HOT) tune is going on in a week or two.

I decided not to go with the BSR in favour of Wester despite the lower boost on the Wester tune. Your comments are definitely making me feel like I made the right choice.

If this all works out, next year I'll definitely go this Turbo upgrade route. Just waiting to see how it all plays out and for guinea pigs like yourself (kudos!) to nail down all the details.

I think 350-400whp would be ideal for this car. I don't need to go higher then that (but don't want to go lower either lol)

Man you are making it real hard for me not to do this.

I do the Super Speeder DVDs every year. I have never had any of my personal cars in the DVDs because I never had the kind of horspower to take on a exotic car.

If I can make it fast enough to take on a gallardo I will put it in.(or beg to have it put in)
I'll have the porsche done soon and will give you a call.

Come on, get a free flowing 3" pipe hooked up to that turbo and ditch the restrictive tube/fin ic.

baldturbofreak: have you guys found the Horsepower or should i say torques limits on the gxp engine. I say torque because that is what usually bends rods and so on.

BTW Is this on a 2007 or 2008? The reason I ask is you said Lyndon is sending you a really HOT race program so I am assuming it must be for 2007 only as he hasn't finished the 2008 race tune?

As soon as I get it in my hands the testing will ensue!

James did it in one pill. GM gave us a real crank to work with, not many stock components will take that abuse.

INdeed. I expect the stock longblock to survive 400whp as a DD.
500+ for short bursts.
With H-beam rods and a nice set of pistons (that weight 100g's less) The stock crank and a sleeved block you could pretty much stomp this thing relentlessly.

Also remeber james dumped a 300 shot all at once. I don't know of any bottom end that ikes that. Most people use a progressive shot, I'll bet the motor would have survived if it were progressive, we still dont know how well the wetshot on top of the direct injection works out.
