The Dragstrip is about 30min from where were looking to buy, and the specific property is over 40 acres in the country. Lots of Kappa's and Tents will fit on 40acres....
Enough room for a little roundy round in the grass.

so what would you use for tuning/boost control on the 3076 kit besides the IAT2, boost controller, map regulator, and a cel reader? it doesn't seem like it would be safe to just run these and nothing else in terms of electronics/tuning. if i were to purchase the 3076 kit, i would want a custom tune; there's still no way to do this with the current available tuning options right?
No CHris,
I not totally pos about the differences in my turbo to dave's turbo but you most certainly can run the stock tune & boost without hurting the motor.
But if you go looking at my dynographs (and dave will have some this spring) you'll see that the power gain isnt worth the hit down low until you start rockin' boost. then the top end power curve fills in.
Buy HPtuner pro right now if your even considering hotrodding your car. It will be a lot to learn at first but once you learn how to "drive" the software. Pro's like Dave and myself can hand you a tune over the 'net that works well on a similar combo. Then just scan & drive watch for KR and keep the Ltft's negative.

Not to be a downer on the party but this man speaks what many are thinking. These turbo swaps sound awesome until you realize that we are still hugely hindered by the ECU.
Actually Adam, I wouldnt call it hugely hindered.
Thanks to Bfaster/Lil goat we have a PSi for Psi comparison. A big turbo was worth up to 90ft/lbs at the wheels with the stock boost and mostly the stock tune.
Esp if your considering Dave's middle of the road turbo, id buy it rock it and be happy. I promise you'll stomp a mudhole in your buddy's stock turbo GXP.
Look at HPT as somethign to look forward to or a free "stage" whence the rest of RPM/desired boost target has been unlocked.
Like I said anyone who is modifying their car should own their own copy of HPT pro. It's a prerequisite to modern hotrodding. period.
I've finally got a solo 5" hi-flow cat on the car, but the weather is lousy. I had a 4" magnaflow installed and had problems of erratic O2 readings and fuel delivery at 24psi, 3300-3600 rpm, just after the turbo spooled up. I'm guessing it was due to the magnaflow cat, since I never saw it with a catless downpipe. I'm anxious to see if the solo solves it.

And the tuning is in the price that dave give or extra??
Yes, I'll give my latest tune to you free, with the Turbo kit. You'll need HP Tuners software or go to someone who can download it to your car. Remember that this is not a custom dyno tune like Wester's sells, rather what I run on my car based on many actual drive runs. I'm giving it away because it makes running my turbo upgrade safer and the car run better so you're satisfied with my products.
