Hi,

So just to see if its possible, I'm going to try putting in lil'goat's 2007 ECU with Westers HOT tune in my 2008 GXP. He doesn't think it will start and I seriously doubt it will either but whatever, at least we'll know if this is possible.

Anyone every attempt this?

Are GM ECUs VIN tied like Chrysler ones? If I tried to put an ECU from another PT (same year, model, etc) into my car, it wouldn't start...

Probably.

I gave Lyndon my VIN# I am not sure if he will replace goat's VIN# with mine in the program (I imagine he would...) I seriously doubt this will work.. but its a shot in the dark.

What about swapping the ECM and the BCM? I suspect it is more of an incompatibility between the 07 and 08 BCM communications. This would probably work.
