Me too...they told us at MECCA it would be out...now it looks like it will not. I understand they are in a fight for their lives though. Just sucks for us who were looking for the GM blessed tune. DANG! And they said it would be out this summer too...

They are small compared to what might develop if this engine becomes the choice for much of GM's small car performance line. 2 weeks ago at the NEO 555 run, I got 29mpg in 230miles of "spirited driving" How many V8's can do that. A Vette may get that mpg on the highway, but on the backroads with the throttle open ... I doubt it.
It also depends on how spirited... I bet the Z06's are using less gas at the track than I am in my STi. I have a pretty large turbo (GT35R) and am running detuned right now (only 23psi). Turbos force a motor to use more fuel/hp at a particular power level... needing enrichment to keep the charge cool and avoid knock.

But yes, in a good mix of driving, like the above mentioned spirited street driving, a turbo car wins since it spends much of it's time running NA at a smaller displacement.

I'm glad I invested in the 2nd ECM for Lucy. The Wester's tune is FANTASTIC! But I still have the factory tune, also, if needed.
Seems like too many issues with the '08's, and no turbos in the '06's. For '07, they got it right with the GXP. Perfect? No, but close! 27mpg and 26lbs boost. OOOOHHHH LUCY!

I'd love for you to check... all my information says it's a "no go" for this year. I can't seem to track down part numbers either for the sensors, which is another indication of no production.

As always things are able to change.. but as of about 6 weeks ago I was assured this kit was not going to be released this year from some *very* reliable and trustworthy personal sources.

Please prove me and my friends wrong though... I wouldn't mind eating crow on this in the slightest!

I had done some digging after you first said something and as far as I've heard it's still on for this year. We'll see.

I haven't heard anything to the contrary either ... what's that adage? No news is good news!

I haven't seen anything on any of the blogs stating that it has been officially cut, nothing about any *tuner* bowing out ... so... there are still 4 months left in this year (4th quarter) for it to be released

Let's play the "Waiting Game"

Here's to hoping... it's certainly worth the wait, I know that!

Is that where GM roadster's tune is coming from?

Cant speak for gm roadster, but the current hptuners software can tune every single lnf based car no matter what year.
