Shabby,
Question with the latest software can you achieve the same results as Westers HOT or RACE tune.?.
Reason for my question is GM roadster (NO affiliation with GM) has a claim of 310 + BHP with their $300.00 tune for any Model year Solstice\SKY.

Last I knew, HPTuners couldn't let you modify boost or max RPM tables. Has this changed?

The latest software seems to have those now fixed I believe.

The hp increases are real, pcmforless has it for even cheaper for $200. You know you want it Latin, go get the tune

Seems like GMMP dropped the ball, thanks to HPT the flood gates are starting to open. Tuesday GM Roadster anounces 2008 tune, today PCM for less.

PCM is also cool enough to email an HP tuner file for $150 if you already have HPT.

Shabby,
I do want it but in combination with BTF larger wheel.
I am just waiting for some prove that the combination of both would produce about 350 BHP and torque on the 370's.
If the tune by it self is on the 310 + then the larger wheel going to 23 psi and 7000 RPM should get it there.

The ecm tune will have to be specifically tailored for that turbo, so only btf or which ever tuner actually has it in their hands will be able to extract all the power from it.
You simply cant upgrade the wheel and expect a 50 hp increase, the ecm wont allow that. You have to get re-tuned and request more airflow from the ecm.

BTF and Westers are working together on the tune to take advantage of the larger turbo wheel. If I were a betting man...I would say they will be right at or a little more than 350 BHP.

How does SEPTEMBER sound to everyone??? Hmmmmm??? Yes, thats right, Stage II Planned release is for next month thru GM Accessories via Dealerships. No specific date has been set as yet ... BUT it IS coming for the GXP and Redline!

That's crazy! HPT updates to 2008, a month later GM releases Stage II. GM better get on it, all their customers are going to be doing their own aftermarket reflashes very soon.

There's going to be a ton of data and heresay to sift through: How does GMPP stack up to Westers, PCM for less, GM Roadster, etc... Is a $1,000 Stage II with the upgrade airflow/pressure sensors worth $1,000 if you're getting similar or better power numbers for a $200 reflash?

There is always the warranty concern but if GM honors the warranty at 300 HP then that means they have the testing and numbers to insure reliability. Why not get the same horsepower numbers at a much cheaper price and then set the ECM back to stock if there is an issue?

Because, even if it is true that the only difference is the $800, it's worth that NOT to have to set it back and forth and worry about the next method of detecting you doing that. People here don't blink at spending $500 for a carbon fiber partial dash replacement, but struggle with this??? I just hope it is available for the '07 gxps.

Because the new ECM's will tell the dealer you have been tweaking them. $200 no warrante claims $1000 still under warantee if a problem develops. Your call
