Crafted from a polished aluminum tube, it'll retain its shine thanks to a maintenance-free clear coat finish.
The free-breathing air filter does not require oil, which can interfere with the computer sensors. Show it off anywhere becaue it's 50-state legal.

I see gm is claiming some horsepower gain with "feel and hear the rush", which might just be marketing

I see from the add they don't give numbers on any performance gains

The exhaust is pretty much pointless due to its price and probably no gain. We all know the GXP is flow limited by the pipe size and not muffler limited like the Classic Solstice. All it's going to do it give you a more aggressive sound. Which for even CED's price you're still better off going 3rd party.

Now the intake I'm interested in. I would 'hope' GM has proven it not to cause limp mode. Also I'm hoping their Stage kit is designed to work with their intake as well. at about $350 it's only a bit more expensive than some of the other vendors offers.

And what I really want to see is how the intake fits, mounts and looks in the car ...

Perhaps a contest for the first 2008 Solstice GXP owner to add the system and post pictures. Maybe JustMike will let you cut to the front of the line for the next plant tour?

Well, I have my 2008 GXP in for service today so I decided to give their parts department a call and maybe check it out. Too bad, they don't have them in and they say it would be a couple months before they do.

So much for spontaneity.

The ADI in Guadalupe AZ, which probably supplies your dealership, is showing one in their stock. If true your dealership could have it a day or two, depending on the ADI's shipping policies.

A side point, it was announced to Saturn Retailers on 12/5, no message yet for Pontiac dealerships.

I would also be interested in the intake. I would think that since it is a GM part it would not affect warranty. However early this year I was at a local Saturn dealer parts department buying an oil filter, I talked to the parts guy about upgrades. He said that the GM parts had to be installed by an authorized GM service department for it not to affect warranty. I am not sure if he meant affect warranty just for the upgrade of the entire vehicle. Anyone know what the policy is?

Now there is an idea to consider ...

Oh and I'm sure that if a certain small dealer were to want to attend the next plant tour that we could work something out as well ...
