Looks like you could open the plastic sheet underneath (over the radiator) and it could actually draw cold air, I like it. I can work with that, this is what I have been asking for

Also is there a inlet radius on the intake/in the filter? or is it a straight shear like the stocker?

I think it's one continuous radius for the entire pipe from looking at the pictures on the metal pipe at least.

Has anyone else bought one of the intakes?

And for those that already have one, have you noticed any problems with it [codes ect]?

Thanks for being cannon fodder on this issue. I noticed in the pics that the MAF sensor connection seems to have an extension. If so where do you find one or did the dealer provide it? Thanks again.

CAI Installation. The instruction manual for this mod was relatively good. Gm advises that standard service practices should be followed. Guess that means that the home installer should have a T-30 socket handly to remove the factory installed air box. As the step for that seemed to be missing.

As this shade tree mechanic found out, with a little patience and some technical interpretation the mod went in OK and everything lined up perfectly.

The test ride was a thrill and the RPM's clime very quickly .

Comments like this always make me shake my head confused. Vendors in industry also make claims that confuse me at times. One of my personal favorites was "reaction past equilibrium." Needless to say anyone who bought into that should've been fired...

Can anyone provide me the part number for the GMPP CAI? I went to their website and typed in CAI and cold air intake and nothing showed up.
