BTF Are you going to sell entire entire kits only or will you sell the intake seperate?
I for one would like to see new internals for our housing. When you get a porsche turbo then I will think about a swap

The Porsche turbo is a garrett I beleive. It's a VATN (variable area turbine nozzle) and is going to require a custom controller. I building the poorman's version using a Twinscroll and 2 gates.

I'll sell you a 4" intake but necking it down to 2.375 is gonna be one helluva coupler. and in the wrong position since the bigger compressor housing required rolling the turbo outward. You'd be better off with a dejon intake for a stock turbo.

On a side note- My wife keeps getting a 2186 :unknown code. WTF is a 2186???? it's not in HPT or Dashhawk. Anyone know?

The Porsche 911 actually uses a BorgWarner turbo, they call the technology Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG), model BV50G.

http://www.turbos.bwauto.com/files/n...er_388_432.pdf

Looking forward to this ending up in our cars eventually. BW has stated there will be more production SIDI cars in 2011 using using their VTG technology and widespread by 2016. A lot of their diesel engines have this tech already but it's very expensive to do on gasoline engines due to the temp differences apparently.

Im gonna guess on the former. I wonder how that got tripped? perhaps I dont have the coolant system adequatly bled? I cant understand how, it stays in temp and is 3/4 full on the res. I beleive it's under the intake manifold correct?

I know how to fix that code.

There is a 60 amp yeloow box fuse in the fuse block next to the battery. Check that. When roadside jumped my car they blew that fuse and I was throwing that code. Check it out.

Nope, no blown fuses. Good catch though, we should make a sticky on check me first-fixes.

I looked around at the wiring harness under the motor, nothing looks out of place. Weird. I'm gonna pull vacuum on the coolant system to make sure it's totally burped. perhaps that's the issue. It was a rediculous pain to bleed the system.

Coolant temp sensor is on the side of the thermostat housing less than an inch from your downpipe. i would check your sensor/wires and make sure that your new compressor housing or downpipe isnt too close to the sensr and melted it. or maybe it just got knocked loose when fitting things up down there. as far as bleeding the system, when i got my motor back together, i filled the upper rad. hose, then pulled the banjo bolt where the block vent is and the coolant return is and filled the block from there. after that it was pretty much bled

MSD has a 5-bar, let me know if you need one. No idea about a gm sensor. Thought the highest they ever went was 3 bar from the 89 TTA / GNX.

Sorry for being a ghost, Im moving my cnc shop, dynoshop and house to one locale instead of 2.(and stop pissing ridicuous $$ in rent down the drain). It's the most stressfull thing I have ever done and we havent even closed yet. dyno weighs in at 6800lbs ramp included. cnc is 5500lbs. all tools.parts, stock.
The CNC will be the last to move.

My wife has put about 1200 miles on it since the salt washed away. Other then the strange CLT code that come up every now and then no issues. Im sure it has nothing to do with the turbo.

I may go to the track tomorrow night for fun. Wonder how it will run. I'll clamp her up and run 23psi.
I havent emailed Wester's in weeks has anyone posted a confimed 7000+rpm dynosheet?
Hey Double D, last time we spoke via PM you were sening an ecm in. where are you at with it? get the thing to rev out? no revs sucks, and ive pretty much given up hope on any furthur devlopement from HPT. At least this year.

If you're not running at least low-12s [traction limitations aside], I will be dissappointed. Have you dynoed it yet?
