I floored it maybe 10x last night on a 20 mile drive. It didnt alarm out for overboost, but Im sure I just didnt give it long enough blasts. I was getting 1-2.5 deg of KR intermittently on the DH.

From what Ive seen Wester's tune + my GT3076R setup = Kickass.
About the only thing that will need to be copy and pasted is my MAF tranfer table for the 4" inlet pipe.
The Duty cycle on the stock solenoid currently serves up Race tune boost. He can just leave the duty cycle stock in this application.

From the logs Jack and Darin have shared with me the stock turbo with increased torque request is pushing about 28-29lbs/min VE. The VE lbs/min #(in the HPT scanner) has been dead in line with RWHP on my dyno . Just move the decimal place over one.

If the same torque request is applied with a larger turbo perhaps 34-35 lbs min VE is possible? With the revs set to 7400rpm I bet you'll see 40lbs/min VE.
I just finished mapping my CAI, it was showing a range of 7 to 10 LTFT with the stock Westers tune.

No, I'm basing my opinion from Logged data From Jack B and Bfaster. It has the redline that we need and a much higher maximum torque value.

I did some loggin yesterday. ABout 30 miles worth.
I removed the E-boost2, map trickers etc. Back to square one.
I installed the Little red and Big green springs into the TIal (oh fun!), and T'd the factory solenoid back in. = over 23 psi.
After cruising out to our new home (about 25mins from our current one) it would hold a nice 22 psi (obvioulsy it learned a little). I tried to get it into limphome, but it didnt happen.
All it would do is give me a "flat" second gear. As in 40% throttle. Letoff and 3rd is full boogie. Well kinda, 22-23 psi and 80-odd percent throttle (actual) under boost.

Even so, 80-something % throttle and 23 psi puts 30lbs min VE in there. ABout 44lbs min MAF.
IMagine whats gonna happen with full throttle,23psi, and 7500rpm

So I have removed nearly all KR and definitly all that concerns WOT. It's kinda a slug up top. Im seeing single digit and negative timing at 4K and 280% load(!). But @ .797 PE it's horkin black smoke and poppin. I have since leaned it out considerably, and have begun to put timing back into the ignition maps. I changed the scaling on the load axis so that it now reads out to 260% cyl loading. The PCm appears to interpolate beyond the top value using the last know slope. At least that's my hypothesis.
Pop over to my thread on the HPT forum if you wanna see the logs,.cfg +tune.

I'll upload the stock 08 tune over on the HPTuners site tonight when I get home.

Peak MAf value so far has been 47.xx lbs min with -1% LTFT. Peak Ve has been 31.2lbs/min
Can ya beleive it? We're almost outta turbo again!
Now for some more advance to make it snarl again.

Oh BTW 20 or so seconds of high boost spread out and it's half throttle city.
Modeled Cat temp has been 1750+deg. I think an EGT probe is in order...

BTF... so even with Wester's tune, you go into limp mode?

Maybe you need to take a trip to his place and work together to get everything sorted. Can you imagine the combo with it all working together perfectly?!

Maybe you just need to get your car drunk, so it forgets all of its protective inhibitions.

No, I havent installed a Wester's tune. This is just with HPT.
But I still have to get the ignition timing and MAF transfer down, Lyndon will be able to help you out with the torque delete.
I just had a little time to play this weekend before I start moving tomorrow.

I have continued to shake it down while going thru a tremondous amount of BS on the closing of my new home and shop.
It runs really nice, and with the high seat pressure spring it responds much faster than you'd expect for a turbo/engine combo like this.

Either HPT will break us off or Wester's will on the RPM/MAx boost timer.

Tomorrow when it's nice I'll take a driving Vid of "life with the GT30" and some pics of the setup. The only difference is that I have the Blow thru MAF/Tial.

I'm pretty confident that my product will make you a very happy person. For the money you get alotta goodies.

Yeah, this thing NEEDS a Wester's Tune, if those tunes are all they're cracked up to be.

I loaded up Wester's Tune last night... OMG, dramatic difference! All other mods were unnoticeable by my low accuracy butt dyno: Dejon CAI & Intercooler piping, Solo Turbo back exhaust sans cat, Wastegate acuator rod mod. But THIS one is significant!

Turbo totally runs out past 6k, so the higher rev limit is not that useful in upper gears. Now I'll have to look at a turbo upgrade.

BTF, how about taking a few days off for R&D and meet Westers for some dyno tuning on your setup? He really has broken the code!

It will still limp with a westers tune past 23 psi. Me and dejon dave are dealing with that issue right now.
