Hey everyone,

Just wanted to update on the upgrades, which today finalized the bulk of what I will do engine performance-wise at this point in time. WESTER's tune... Holy moly. What a difference that baby makes. Up to this point, I had installed the Dejon CAI, Dejon intercooler, SOLO Mach exhaust, KW suspension and wheel/tire upgrades. The car was noticebly quicker, but now after installing the tune, the car now is like a little b_ _ _h on wheels. I have to talk nice to her and give her what she wants or she just obuses me. Which I can't say is a bad thing, but boy it sure does feel good. Now just gotta get those 4-pots installed and hopefully things will be better on both ends. On another note, if and when you do the Wester tune upgrade, I thought it would be a pain-in-the-butt to reset everything since I had a brand new ECM installed, but it isn't a pain at all. The procedure is pretty straight-forward, but sometimes we just don't get it. If you have any questions, I would be happy to assist. Lyndon did a very good job, but this procedure wasn't with the computer when it arrived, so I contacted them with some questions, and Eileen and Lyndon sorted it out post-haste. Anyway, lovin' it and lookin' forward to some fun times. I am still searching for Sol and Sky owners in the Corpus Christi, TX area, so if anyone cares to contact me, that would be great. Head out to the island and grab some grub, kick back and talk shop. Take care, and now that I am now officially a GM owner (first time caller), I am enjoying it. God I sure hope I don't regret it. Been a Ford man (with a 911, Lancia, MB, and XR among others thrown in for good measure)for so long, I wasn't sure how I would react. I just might like it on the other side. Enjoy...

Glad to hear you have the tune also. I've had mine for over 6 months. Still loving it.

So,
When shipping a new, never installed ECM to Lyndon.
Does he include detailed instructions on how "marry" the ECM to the car?
(like performing the security & crank learn for the very first time).

The security relearn is on here somewhere - but if you request it I'm sure Eileen would include it with your new ECM.

The crank relearn MUST be done either by the Dealer or by someone with a HPTuner and those instructions can be included too if requested.

Any crank relearns don't have to be completed on GXPs, only on the NA

The N.A. is the only one that needs the crank relearn, as mentioned above.

Guys,

Could someone one please point me to who I should contact to get the Wester tune? I just picked up my Solstice today, and miss driving a chipped car!

I live in Eastern Canada, so not sure what the process is.. thanks!

I didn't get the instructions with my ECM when I got it back from Lyndon. But I spoke with Lyndon and he walked me through it. It takes right at 30 minutes to complete and then you are good to go. The car was fun to drive before the tune, but now it is just almost funny to see me driving down the road with this huge grin on my face. I have caught myself a couple of times, and it is actually pretty funny. I was worried about the tune since I hadn't done one on this car before, but it was really easy. You'll truly love it. If anyone has any questions, just PM me. Take care and enjoy.

Hey everyone,

I apologize as I haven't located the forum for 'STUFF 4 SALE' yet, so if anyone can point me there, that would be great. In the meantime, with all the upgrades, I have several parts for sale from my GXP. Calipers, intercooler, exhaust, and possibly even the Goodyear F1 tires which only have 1628 miles on them. The rest of the parts have less than 1900. If interested just PM me and make an offer. I'm not desperate to sell, but if anyone needs anything, well, I am a fair kinda guy.

Cheers,

Howster
